What table vice do you use?

I like this one for in the house work.
About $45.00 on eBay.
Twice that..new:

Page 1 post 8 see what he bought.
Honestly not sure if the OP meant a shop/mechanic's/utility/bench vise OR a gun vise

It's funny, Basically I wanted a vice inside the house so I would not have to go out into the shop all the time to use my big one (the one like Michael's). But at the same time I'm very use to using those. I knew that vices can get expensive and I got that big oldvice in a auction for relatively cheap. The big one is too big in the house. So I asked here before I bought and did some research. Apparently not enough as the little vice left me wanting more. From your suggestions I considerEd the panavice as my dad has one and when I lived at home I used the crap out of it. But thinking back as a kid it was a little lightweight, probably because I was using for Automotive. Then there were the gun vices that I looked at. They are good if you are working on the whole gun as a assembly. Well sometimes I need to put the barrel in the vice with soft jaws when needed. Sometimes just to break the moderator loose. I looked at the clamp ons as well since they are easy to take off and put away. tnbndr suggested the avid vice. So that got me to at least look at the gun vices that are available. Dang it! I must have been drunk and clicking things online because the Real Avid master gun vice showed up this morning and before I could return it. It was bolted on to my desk. 😳

I guess it was a good thing I did not spend money to go to the range today. 🤪

Yeah, little bigger than I thought it would be and for some reason I thought it was a clamped-on style vice. 😬

Boy, after having it just a couple hours, I really did not think I would be using it that much. But it is so easy to grab the pic rail or even the arca rail with the included adapter. It will actually grab things really tight too. And it was advertised as a gunsmith vice.

I can flip it down easily to work on either side of the gun as well
