FX Maverick 600 .22cal settings problems

Hello , I try to find the best settings for my maverick to shoot pellets from 18grs to 25grs , but I'm sure I didn't make things in the right order , so I would like to have some advices to help.
My actual settings are : reg1 130 bars , reg 2 90 bars , hammer weight 14 grams , power hammer spring is from the FX slug power kit, STX Superior barrel ( not the heavy) on pellet position ; I don't know the lenght of the pre-tension screw .
Here are the speed for the hammer spring tension wheel positions : 1........930 Ft/s
2.........914 Ft/s
3.........933 Ft/s
4.........953 Ft/s
5.........947 Ft/s
6.........947 Ft/s
7.........874 Ft/s
So , as I increase the hammer tension , pellet speed fluctuates in an erratic way , and the lowest speed is reached with the maximum hammer tension ?? And yes , I read the wheel at the bottom position .
I've previously tuned other FX Crown or Wildcat , but here I don't understand what I did wrong.

Some help will be useful :giggle: .

Thanks

You can’t tune for 2 pellets(you can but…), it’s best to pick a heavier pellet and shoot a lighter slug and not touch anything. You should tune for the 25.39 and could turn down the PW for the 18.1 but ES/SD will not be good. In your case with that heavy hammer, shooting the 18.1 is not a good choice.

I use the PW as a quick tune device. Put the PW at 7 start at a reg pressure, shoot 5 and move the reg pressure until you hit your fps goal + 10. Then move the PW down 1 number at a time shoot 3-5, repeat until you fall below the goal and bring it back up on that PW setting with the micro hammer spring adjuster a 1/8 turn at a time and you should be on the “knee” balanced with a 10 ES/2 SD or better.

The PW really isn’t a dial and shoot whatever pellet you want, you can turn it up and down but ES/SD won’t be ideal. With your heavy hammer you may want to shoot 33.96.

My Maverick 600mm with 11g hammer, shoots the 25.39 @ 935, reg at 110b, slug port and the same settings shoots the 22gr hybrids @ 955. PW 5, micro 4 7/8 turns out. I only turned the allen key twice a 1/8 out each time.
Mine was down the slope at PW 4(erratic fps)turned back to PW 5 near the knee(fps tighter, fine tuned with the micro).

1 turn on micro hammer spring adjuster is equal to 1 PW setting.
