No Moderator in Classifieds Rule

This will be my only comment... Because the name draws attention from search engines and every other way information is sought on the internet. The information gets lumped in with every other use and the new powder burner trend is to attach the moderator over it. The airguns that keep running when you squeeze should've been banned long before these items. They are bad for the industry and if we don't stop them on our own they will be the end of our hobby as we know it.

I’ve said it before in another thread, but if anyone thinks that prohibiting discussion of airgun moderators here will somehow help them fly under the radar as far as regulatory agencies go, is being naive. Pretending they don’t exist will not make them go away and it in fact does harm to those who actually highlight their legality by very publicly making them available. Logic would suggest we should double down on such discussions by being very vocal on what makes them currently legal and loudly address each instance where the line begins to blur. It seems incredibly myopic just shut down one of the main avenues of discourse and education on the subject. The legality of airgun moderators in the United States is NOT a “grey area” as has been suggested. It is very much black and white as determined in federal court. What can perhaps make it seem to be a grey area is lack of education through discussion.

I said the former would be my only comment but I've got to add that I feel like this new rule is to support the massively overpriced and inefficient offerings from manufacturers who pay to play, one of which gets named often in the thing that got banned. Not discussing and removing the same but better items from forum and classifieds looks more like protecting the market and revenue stream because many of the banned item are still available at the big named stores that sponsor this forum. I know the classified ban included all stand alone and accessories for but that just pushes people to the retail outlets for a new one rather than saving money and possibly getting something better.
If the concern was to protect our sport wouldn't full auto the first to go?
Should you still be allowed to sponsor and advertise here if you sell those items in your store because this forum links you to them? It's all a bit cloudy.
