Looking at carbon fiber tank.

Looking at purchasing a cabin fiber tank to fill while at the tank. I have a raw hm1000x. First question: Is there any adapter needed or does it come with everything I need? Second Question: I was looking at a 74cuft but they have the 98 refurbed for $30 more at pyramid air. Has anyone bought the refurbed and all was good?

I started out with a 74cu/ft tank for my Regal and Compatto (both small reservoirs)....purchased a RAW HMx .22 and purchased the 90cu/ft tank. You get about 30% more fill capacity with the larger tank, well worth the cost in my humble opinion. I purchased my 90 used and as long as it doesn't expire too soon they are all made well from quality vendors. Mine is from AirTanksforSale/TopGunAirguns and has dual gauges, one for filling the other for amount of air in tank. Joe's cost more but you get what you pay for, this one is fully loaded with armor/handle/feet plus fill whip...note the dual guages.

Not a "tank expert" by any means but I would get the largest capacity tank you can 1) afford and 2) comfortably transport to the range.

I have 2 of the 74 CU FT tanks and I wish I had 90's. If you are filling to 250 BAR then that extra capacity really does make a difference.

One of my tanks was acquired new (won in a raffle @ EBR), and the other was purchased used. I wouldn't hesitate to grab a refurbished tank. Just inspect if before use to be safe IMO.

What you are referring to is a 410 cu in tank. New price here:

This is their brand new 550 cu in tank. More cu in means more fills.

Your budget will dictate what you can afford, but when it comes to quantity of fills, bigger IS better, IMO.

If you have your own 4500psi compressor you can just buy a expired SCBA 4500psi tank off eBay for under 100$ they are either 30min or 45min or 60min tanks the 30min is 45 cubic feet and the 45 min is 66 cubic feet and the 60min is 88 cubic feet the fill station for it is a cga-347 fill station which is usually around 45$ so you can get a SCBA tank off eBay and the fill station and your ready to fill guns!
