Stoeger Bullshark 177. This was a rifle that was in pieces, and missing pieces. I knew that going in. Someone with a heavy hand tried working on it and failed, sold it to the guy I bought it from. He didn't have the time and explained the whole history to me. After a screw order to Amazon, and using some o-rings I already had for my P35, I got it shooting great.


Buying used can be very rewarding. Do yourself a favor and ask questions. If they can't answer or don't seem to have the time, move on.

Depends if you have a good shop to fix the rifle next door if you don't have the time.
How much is a typical tuneup?

I always buy new, unless it's not produced anymore. Same with all my automobiles.
I want to be the one who "breaks in" the new machines.
