The non removable Magazine still just turns me off .
It did for me too. Muscle memory acquired it's no longer an issue, especially with moistone's loading gate. 17 or 19 rounds is plenty in the field and you can always top off.

The other issue is cleaning. Kelly recommends a carbon fiber rod with a plastic tip. There's another solution somewhere in the thread that adapts a model airplane control rod. Have the CF rod, waiting until I need something else RC related to order the control rod adaptation which is the perfect low mass field setup.

I still enjoy an occasional backyard romp with my Tempest and thoroughly enjoy the IZH 46M. Otherwise the GK1 has spoiled me. I rarely carry a rifle in the field anymore unless I need the punch of a .30 cal Leshiy 2, and that's usually a couple of happy hours per day with our dog.

I actually really like it, with such a big capacity it's like have 2 regular mags, and then you still have to fill them so I do not see the difference.
I agree, it’s so large compared to others, I don’t even have/use a loading gate. I only load 10 at a time so there is no need for one.

I used a couple guns with a loading gate but I don't find it any better, as I pick up a pellet with the other hand I'm rotating the cylinder,....at the end of the day you can only pick up one pellet at a time so I see no advantage in those loading gates.

I pick up 2-3 pellets at a time, and just drop in via loading gate. Easy peasy!

When I say I don’t use a loading gate, I mean I don’t even use the factory one.

How does that work ? ...confused, I though you needed the loading gate to stop the pellet to come out backwards.

Wait a second, just noticed you mentioned only loading 10,.....smart so you do not need the gate since you have no pellets on that side, I have to look into that great Idea.

To be clear, the barrel IS threaded for a shroud retaining nut. The nut can be replaced with an adapter (which comes with the gk1) that will allow the use of a moderator. The barrel itself is not threaded ‘for a moderator’.

Dave
i stand corrected , sorry , i just saw the threads & thought it was the barrel.

A good wall with no creep improves my own accuracy (with a stock) two fold. This is a significant improvement, when it comes to the amateur portion of users.
...I claim that if the orange and blue parts were like on the pencil sketch (with a 0.5mm radius), then this would be a better trigger mechanism
