Hi guys started playing around with my tune on my FX M3 30 cal with 700mm barrel shooting fx 44.5grn hybrid slugs
this is where I am at so far

950fps is where I am running it now.
Any suggestions on tune please drop me a line

950 for a 30 cal "PELLET" is very healthy & a tad faster than what I've read most .30 cal pellet shooters are finding for best accuracy.
Seems with 44.75 most appear to be 850 to @ 890 range.

Someone correct me if wrong
Nope, you got it right. It can be accurate faster, but it won’t be as consistent and it will be more susceptible to vertical jump in quartering winds. There are MANY shooters that still feel no matter what that faster is better. 😂

I think he said he’s running hybrid slugs which you can run faster. I would just say the accuracy at 950 will tell you all you need to know about the tune. I’ve never done hybrids in .30 cal but from what I know 950 seems on the upper end for them in some other calibers. I wouldn’t necessarily want to push them faster. I guess if you want to run much heavier ammo then I might look at heavier hammer and springs but for the hybrids I think stock should be good to go.

Slugs ... my bad ... THO, do feel 950 is more than enough speed and going that fast or faster .. hang on tight the leading / barrel fouling is already as issue and will get worse as you go faster !!

thanks for the replys guys, Yes I am running the hybrid slugs for now,
I was looking for speeds in the low 900's I do a bit of plinking and also rabbit, cat & fox shooting
My groups are in the 1" at 50 with 1 in 5 flyer
yes I know I need to spend a bit more time tunning to get the flyers out and tighten a little.
What do you guys think of barrel tensioners etc ???

Well I received some goodies in the mail and have had my FX in a million pieces.
I have fitted a carbon barrel sleeve
Huma Air pin probe
Huma Air V2 slug barrel port
Huma Air hammer and spring kit

and I have had a little play with it so far
My problem was that I wanted to shoot 30cal FX Hybrids at around 960fps but with the standard gun I couldnt get over 950fps and anything above 860 was all over the paper and I was struggling to get any sort of a group.
So hence the upgrade bits
I spent an hour on the range shooting 50yards and havnt played with the settings yet
this is my results

1st reg 180bar
2nd reg 150bar
Macro 8
Micro 3
Hammer dampener out 5 lines

1005 fps with a variation of only 6fps over 20 shots
Very happy with the result of the upgrades

These are 5 shot groups at 50 yards

My 2cd reg is at 150 mac wheel is 10-12 depending on temperature and my micro wheel is at 4.5 that puts my fps at 970 which my gun loves shooting the Hybrids at.
