Squeaky clean and I gained 15 FPS!

Over the years I’ve used a lot of different barrel cleaners… and nothing quite compares to the Patch Worm

Nice, a lot of people like those. I made my own with a doubled over piece of .060 string trimmer line to form an eye and and a few bits of heat shrink tubing to bind everything together. I push it back from the muzzle to the breech and pull through standard cotton patches with ballistol. Sometimes I use a straw to guide the eye through the moderator baffles to the muzzle. I tied the two free ends together into a knot to help me pull it but it just occurred to me that if I cut off the knot, I might be able to just push the plain ends into the breech first, push it through, set my patch in the eye, and do it all in one direction as long as I have enough heat shrink to unitize the two separate pieces.

@Impact701 - Interesting FAQ on Ballistol

I started to look for a different bore cleaner when my FX STX Slug Liner 1:16 for my M3 would foul up and accuracy would deteriorate.
I cleaned with Ballistol until patches would come out clean but I could still see residue in the barrel. Fouling would take less than 100 slugs.
I found the Iosso Triple Action Oil and Bore Cleaner.
Iosso cleaned that residue from the barrel, my velocity went up10fps or so and my groups tighten up. Plus now my barrel stays cleaner way longer, 500+ slugs and still shooting.
In my experience Ballistol did not do what I needed it to do.
I only shoot H&N Heavy or Javelin slugs so maybe Ballistol can't clean the lube and lead from those projectiles.
The smell of Ballistol is the most disgusting smell ever !

I thinks these work better. I know I gained velocity and my barrel stays cleaner longer. Even if you don't use the bore cleaner, the Triple action oil works better by itself than Ballistol. Plus they don't stink. Ballistol has a smell that gags me!

Impact, Where do you buy your Iosso? It seems to be more expensive on Amazon. Thanks.
