I did delete the first reg. as I was having a problem with the POI shift when I first got mine. I used the delete fitting from Saber Tactical, I think it was like 35.00, the first reg. is inside the fitting that the bottle screws on to, I just removed that fitting and installed the one from Saber Tactical. After doing that I started from step one re-tuning the rifle....I set the second reg. to 90 bar and started working up to get the 33.95 pellets shooting around 900fps....I ended up with the second reg. set at 115 bar and the rifle was shooting full mag groups the size of a nickel at 50 yards. I actually did a sort of experiment over a several week period just to confirm that I was not having any more POI shift on the first shot. I would let the rifle sit for a week at a time and then take it on my backyard range and shoot a clip full, over several weeks of doing this...every time the first shot was dead center in the bull and I have never had any more POI problems....I also have never changed any of the settings on it since. I had read about the stiction problems some were having but I have not had any more problems with mine. I think that deleting that first reg. and stiffening the barrel and using a modest 115 bar on the second reg. to get the 900 fps solved my POI problems. In my opinion I think too many people are hung up trying to get the most power and fps that they can from these rifles and that may be causing a lot of the problems.... I've got some pics of the barrel shroud etc. that I did somewhere, if I can find them I'll post them on here. Here's the only pic I could find of that cone on the shroud, I had to heat it up with a heat gun to remove it from the shroud.

I have the reg delete in, and I will check it out this afternoon when the temperature gets a little warmer. My settings before the delete were 1st reg 160, 2nd reg 120, Big wheel 15, micro 3.5 and the valve 4.5. I don’t remember the fps but I think it was over 900 a little bit.

I just got done shooting the m3 .25. Out of a 30 shot string my hi was 923, low 909, average was 919. I was shooting the 25.39 JSB. When I got it sighted in, the two in the middle are two 5 shot groups at 22 yards. The next one is at 40 yards, they are a little spread out up to the left. I have some fx 34 gr pellets. Maybe that will tighten the group out to 40 yards and beyond. 22 yards or a little more is about the average distance I shoot. These black spruce trees don’t grow to high.

Silent thunder ordinance sarissa high flow. I just ordered a falx for the hell of it to compare. The sarissa makes the impact significantly quieter than a beeman p3. It will be interesting how the falx compares since they say on their site there are diminishing returns to size with their engineering. So I’m thinking maybe the sarissa is 10% better adding the last 4 inches.

You can def work on your tune. That es is very high. The pros that have them dialed are under 5. You should be able to get to 5-10 fairly easily. Right now you are at 14.

My tune is pretty stable at 2-3fps..

Just be aware though... having a VERY low spread is absolutely no guarantee that your group sizes will correspondingly be small.

Something to aim for.... A well tuned M3 will produce ragged one hole groups at 40yds.... that's quite a close distance..

This may be an option for you. Huma air In the process of upgrading my MKII, I bought the M3 action on eBay and had to buy a first stage regulator. Since my second one was already the Huma, I kept it the same in the front. Made it easier to run my Compact set up when needed.

This is true. I get the tune dialed in for efficiency and accuracy then I adjust the valve knob a little and see if I can tighten up ES. If it doesnt tighten up ES and if it doesnt Impact accuracy I leave it alone around the max setting.

I’ll put it in another way. There are happy Impact owners that shoot pellets with them as they originally intended to. Some of us want to shoot slugs and figured out how to configure and upgrade impacts to shoot slugs well which is well above the original design goal. Not sure about denial owners though.

My impact compact is basically stock with just heavy liner and carbon sleeve installed, all factory parts and it sure shoots light slugs lights out. My 700mm impact has all the upgrades I think I need to shoot above factory design goals. It shoots 35 grain NSA at 920fps superbly, can even go higher but that’s the range I like. So 2 very different guns, one is basically stock and 1 is upgraded as much I can and both are awesome.

Impact is extremely flexible have a lot of adjustments and many don’t invest in learning how to tune and work on them. If you want a gun to shoot slugs out of box then get the dynamic/panthera 700mm.

Yes, I tried to sum it up in two very short sentences without elaborating. I bought an Impact as a pellet shooter to replace a wonky Krait. That thing as a pellet gun was phenomenal for a solid year. But before I even shot it, I was well versed in the platform so it got blueprinted. No high dollar do-dads, just one key little machined part then just making sure everything was right. I personally was never super impressed with them as slug guns as a .25 without semi reinventing the gun. The .22 is better and it’s good but still not spectacular in my book. But like you said, you have to fully understand all the nuances of the gun before you can extract the most out of it. Some guys just don’t want to spend time and money earning an Impact degree. They would rather just be shooting and that’s understandable. But I believe most of them didn’t understand this when they bought one.
