OK, I've been disconnected from this thread for a while. It's been just too tough to read, without actually having the gun....! 😵‍💫

BUT: NOW: Out of nowhere: Popped up the opportunity to buy a Huben GK1 V.3 in .22cal!
➔ So (unless of you want to sell me your used GK1 😉) – what place do you recommend I buy one?
➔ Note, that I need it shipped to Orlando, FL by April 23.

🔶 Scope: Leupold Freedom RDS Red Dot Sight BDC, it's been sitting and waiting patiently.
But I see the GK1 is dovetail railed, so I guess I need low 34mm dovetail rings. Suggestions are welcome.

🔶 Grip: How/Where do I get a black grip?

🔶 Anything else I should be buying while I'm at it?

Thank you all,

Matthias 😊

Definitely Kelly, you be hard pressed to get better service and future support.

My black grip is the original grip that I reshaped and painted,...will eventually ad Rustoleum Truckbed lining to it to improve grip.

I actually use the lowest Picattiny rings with the Dovetail adapters, makes it lower then the lowest dovetail rings.

What’s the lowest possible power setting (fpe or fps) that the .22 version will cycle jam free ? Really thinking about buying one of these, but need it to function on lower power for target work and semi urban pest control.
Yeah curious about that too,...also lowest power for .25 ?

Good data to have printed so to fill in questions on the matter.

i had my .22 reliably shooting GTOs 11gr at like 550fps. I never took it lower, but it never once misfired...that's only like 7.5fpe.
@wimpanzee ,I am curious how you set up the power setting and the pressure range that you use. I have been trying to set up for shooting GTO pellets at a lower speed, but I could not get a flat or bell-shaped shot string. The shot strings that I have so far are always tapering down.

I agree that the GTO pellets are some of the best pellets from the no-jam perspective. There are lighter .22 pellets, such as the HN Field Target Trophy Green. However, I have really bad jams with the HN FTTG pellets. These pellets are shorter than the GTOs, and the alloy seems to be much harder. A .22 pellet sizer is on its way across the pond as we speak. Hopefully, the HN FTTG pellets can be sized to fit snuggly in the magazine. I can almost always find the HN FTTG pellets at a deep discount price!

i had pretty wild spreads on those strings...i didn't have much interest shooting it that low and didn't spend much time there...sorry I don't have more data...I only shot a couple mags and cranked it up! Even at high speeds, the gtos don't do much to my spinners at 50 yards, so i didn't keep shooting those...the avs 21 and 23 gr slugs at 830-850fps tho, pretty satisfying smack on the steel!

Thanks for the confirmation. The valve design seems to have an intrinsic flat shot curve at around 800 to 900 FPS, regardless of projectile weight. This gun, especially when unregulated, is definitely not for slow muzzle velocities!

Today I put my Shorty through the Chronograph and set it to shoot 805-806 fps with the 43gr EunJin at 300 BAR.

How much the shorty weights ?

Here she is with 16 rounds of 43gr EunJins in the magazine :

Very curious now to see how much the standard pistol will weight once she is turned into a Mini-Carbine.

Thinking back at the beginning of this thread where I was going to be more then satisfied if this pistols in .25 cal would have come out in the 40 FPE range,

Now I have my Standard filling at 300 BAR shooting at 72 FPE and the Shorty at 62 FPE,...unreal,
we are getting used to this but if we step back and think about it it's absolutely phenomenal what this little pistols are doing.

This is the pinnacle of pistols. The only way I see something better coming out is when beings more advanced than us make a pcp pistol. The GK1 is light years ahead of its competitors. The icing on the cake is one of the best airgun dealers(KRAZCOOL AG) services these pistols and has parts in stock. What a time to be an airgunner!

This is all truе, but there are tangible things that can be done to up the bar even more: crisp break trigger, pic or 11mm rails on top and back of the receiver, more consistent shroud seating on the receiver and а threaded barrel (while retaining barrel tensioning), standard replaceable dovetail mounted iron sights, possibly a longer and a shorter versions.
