I haven't shot my M3 in a couple months as I've been occupied with my powder burners for deer season . I took the M3 out the case today and it was still at the exact amount of air it had when I cased it up. I topped it off with air and shot it some on my range.....I shot a full clip at 50 yards at one bullseye with unsorted pellets 33.95.... from the first shot to the last it made a nice hole in the target. I've noticed some of the FX haters lately ragging on the Impact but the fact is, it's a hell of a gun when you learn to tune it properly. When I first got it, I will admit it was aggravating trying to get it dialed in as I didn't know what the hell I was doing.... but once I finally learned how to set it up properly, it's Awesome now.....:)

I bought the .22 as its cheaper to shoot targets in my yard. My range is set up a 55yards and even on windy days I can hold a decent group. I did tune it for some slugs i wanted to try out (H&N HP2 27 grain) and was amazed at the accuracy. Pretty much same as pellets at that distance. I had to bump up the reg to around 130 bar. I did re tune it for pellets because of shot count and don't really have a need for slugs but its nice to know I can do it easily. I have been sending 18gr JSB's at around 900 fps with half inch groups with the reg set at 70 bar and getting 168 shots on a 250 bar fill and still staying above the reg. They are fine air guns but as DBlue said you need to be careful and learn the tuning process. The M3 is my second Impact I have owned along with a a Bobcat two wildcats and a Boss. I have also owned a couple Edguns a cricket2 and a few others. currently (my) 2 favorites are the M3 Impact and the leshiy 2. I gave my son my W/C M2 compact and miss it dearly lol. I think my next purchase will me the M3 wildcat compact. God Bless you all.

If you periodically lube the probe/oring with a little bit silicon grease your breach oring will last a lot longer. Most of my breach orings are 1-2 years old with thousands of shots and they have been fine even at high power. Also check for smoothness of the probe if you are going through breach orings fast. Maybe fine sand and polish the edge.

I actually avoided it for awhile. I tend to not be able to resist tinkering. I bowhunt and tuned, retuned, tuned again, my bows all the time to get speed/consistency.
I wanted to avoid that with air rifles. Then a gave in...........and have no regrets.

One day and 30 yards both are not enough to conclude anything.

Increase the distance to 60 yards, give jerks to the gun, then store it for a few days and again test it at 60 yards

Haha, it shoots the same every day as long as I do my part. I also don't baby it. But I don't slam it into things, drop it or loosen screws to move the poi as suggested elsewhere.
Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, some M3 owners have a well tuned gun that holds it's settings and poi?
Yep, one hole group at 30 yards means absolutely nothing. If I do it at 60 will I have to do it at 100? Should I keep moving the target out until the groups are unacceptable to prove how fickle and inconsistent the gun is? LOL

Good luck you win the lottery here.

Not the ordinary users but experienced tuners have experienced POI shift in Impact specially with liner system.

I said 60 yards so that things could be a bit more clear.

Sitting on benchrest, not much of an issue, just a couple of clicks.

Outside in the woods in jeep and then getting back and test its zero, a lot of users are complaining POI shift.

Don't take me wrong. FX Impact is one if my favourite guns.

What modifications I have done to my Impact, including heavier upper plate and a solid barrel, gun is fine now. After I reasonably made the barrel free floating, all issues vanished.

Just to call a spade a spade.
