I think it has been a bit over 3 years since I got my TalonP and it has peformed flawlessly.
I got it out last week and the gauge showed just over 2000psi so I went out to my shooting table and loaded a JSB Exact 33.95. Released the safety, pulled the trigger and "thunk". Pushed the breach forward and the pellet was still there. Looked at the gauge again and still showing 2K. OK bad gauge. hooked up the compressor and filled it to 2600psi, the gauge still showing 2K.
Shot about 20 pellets and pumped it back up to 2600 and put it away.
Next day, I took it back out, loaded again, safety released, trigger pulled and "Thunk". Empty again.
I took the chance that the faulty gauge was the leak and went online and orderd a one of Talon Tunes gauges, and headed out to a 4 day job out of town.
I got back home, the gauge got delivered. Removed the old gauge that still read 2K even after it was removed.
I looked for some thread tape and found none so set everything aside and headed to town to buy some.
I got back home, wrapped the threads and installed the gauge. Fired up the compressor, filled to 2600 and looked at the gauge on the gun. 2000 psi. I had taped the threads on the old gauge and put it back in. Grrrrrr!
Drained the air and put in the correct gauge this time and now the gauge on the compressor and gun agree.
That was 8 hours ago and the pressure is holding by what the gauge shows. I will check it and probably send some lead down range again tomorrow.
Anyway, 3 trouble free years seems pretty good to me.
