Classifieds, At what point do ones manhood step in...

H
And say this stuff I'm trying to sell at this price is crap!!!!!!!Nope some suckered will finally bite. Relist, relist. Lol.
Hey some guy tried to low ball me an offer for a barrel kit cause "you're not gonna sell ot for a while, you're gonna relist over and over" I waited patiently and traded everything for even more than I was expecting.

The way it works for me is I don't have to sell and I know what I have in it and the price I advertise it for is alot less than what I paid for it and if someone was to buy new it would cost them a lot more than my price, so it will save someone some green but I'm not going to give it away either, I'll just keep it.

Honestly I get tired of looking thru the classifieds. Now that there's a re-list button it is easier for sellers to just click one thing and bump their post. Infinitely. It's not a bad thing. But things that are newly listed now constantly get buried in the same stuff that's been listed for months. From a buyers perspective it is dis-incentivising to even look at the classifieds at all. And life goes on :ROFLMAO:

For sale:

Mint, Only half a tin through it.

It’s my most accurate airgun. Only asking $1995. Reasonable offers within $5 of my asking price will be entertained. No low balling my high ball. Thanks

Some people just haven't a clue about depreciation. They feel entitled to 5% off full retail for their used items with warranties that are now dubious at best, and currently non-existent at worst.

They can't wrap their heads around how a market works, so they just keep clicking that relist button. Sometimes for years.

It's a weird combination of silly and sad.

Does it include a gallon of WD-40 and steel wool 🤣

I don't buy used guns but I buy and sell a lot of vehicles and motorcycles. Nothing drives me crazier than "runs great, just needs _______ " fill in the blank with any number of critical components that "just $30" will buy. Trying to get thousands but won't spend 30 or even a few hundred to make it right first? Then you're just trying to sell your problems. Clown world.

I won't sell anything until it works perfectly. Even if I have to spend money to get it in top shape before I sell it I will. Sound sleep is more important than money.

And then it breaks anyhow as soon as it changes hands :ROFLMAO: I swear I hate selling anything.

Finally getting rid of that “safe queen” I see. I wish I had the money to take advantage of this golden opportunity.

I agree that seeing the same relists over and over and over can be tiresome, but the plus side is that we have almost 4 PAGES of stuff added just TODAY as of this writing. Comparing that with other forums, we arent doing too bad here on traffic and variety.

Also, seeing the same stuff over and over isnt that bad. I know when I go to the Hickory show, I will make hundreds of rounds during the weekend just to see if I missed something or to see if something magically appears.

I think the bump time should double after a month, and double again after 3 months. Not to put those sellers at a disadvantage, but to make it easier for buyers to see the fresh stuff.

Yet guys still join swearing up and down that they need access to the “classifieds” because the item(s) that they have their eyes on will disappear if they can’t buy it now. And how unfair it is that they have to wait…………………to see some of the items get re-listed for another month or three. Funny stuff.
