Daystate Daystate Delta Wolf..... A bargain of rifle?

Yeah, something is wrong with mine. Loaded up an advanced mode profile from yesterday and after the dry fire it was doing the proper 845 fps. I made around 40 shots and then the next shot dropped to 699 fps with a noticeable poi shift ( DW never went into sleep mode). Double checked my handwritten notes on the advanced setting hammer/dwell/bar and everything was still correct and matched the DW’s screen. I shot 4 more shots at the 699 range and then let the rifle fall into sleep mode. Woke it back up and it started shooting 845 fps again.

This had happened in the past and I just assumed that there was user error, so it was nice to confirm that something wonky is going on.

Edit: adding screenshots.

Does it act the same with a fully charged battery?

Huma regulator or is it the pressure transducer? I've noticed some variation in the pressure readings on the Delta Wolf which doesn't bother me, but show variation shot by shot. I set the regulator to 170bar which was very stable after the change and I assumed the pressure reading would remain at 170 shot after shot. What I've experienced after each shot is a reading as high as 174 to as low as 167. I haven't watched the LCD when i've fired the rifle but I assume the readout drops as the plenum empties and goes back to set point when the valve closes don't know what the refresh rate is on the readout but I'd assume it is many times a second and I'm also assuming the software takes multiple readings then averages them then displays the average. So whats the reason for the variation? Is it the error range in the Huma regulator (which I find hard to believe) or is it the error range of the transducer (which would seem excessive)? I don't believe the discrepancy has an impact on shot accuracy, but I'd like to know if the Huma regulator is causing that much variability refilling the plenum.

Emu, what is the lowest reg pressure you can obtain the 950 desired speed?
I paid extra money for having a computer inside the rifle.

I will not play the smart one searching a better option that the one the computer inside the rifle gives me as best setting.

If computer says: “regulator at 175 for those 950 fps with 44.7 pellets”, that will be.

I've owned 2 Red Wolves in the past, had zero issues and really liked the rifles. I'm currently looking at buying a .25cal Delta Wolf, but am now wondering if I should. First shot accuracy is important for the pest birds I'll be targeting at 80-100 yards.
I have only had my DW since last Friday, but I have put a lot of slugs and pellets through it. I have only shot in advanced mode so I can't speak to factory mode, but I haven't had any trouble with 1st shot accuracy or consistency. I've only experience the variation in pressure readings noticed in my above post. So far the electronic components have worked quite well. The FPS of the pellets shot by shot has been consistently within +or- 1fps, really quite amazing.

Yours must have been touched by the hand of God. I have had my reg everywhere from 78-170 and even on the low end was seeing a spread of +/- 18 fps.
I set the regulator at 170 and haven't changed it since. Except for the small fluctuations in regulator pressure after each shot which seems a bit odd the shooting has been very consistent. Doomed JSB's 44.75 gr.
170bar/3250us/80V = 932fps
170bar/3000us/80v =929fps
170bar/2800us/80v = 926fps

I have shot almost the entire tin and the speeds are very consistent. I don't let the bottle go below 200bar and I swapped out the 480cc for a 700cc bottle.

Just curious have you tried warp mode?

You need more reg pressure. If pressure ie to low gun will search. Try this. Go to factory mode. Input pellet wgt, speed bbl lgt. Set reg to 150 bar or recommendedpressure. Within 5 shots you should have desired speed. Now now degas and lower reg pressure until its 5 bar above minimum pressure to shoot desired speed with accuracy. The gun will remember the last setting after being turned off. Now you can store this in advance mode if you like. This way works for me. Others milage may vary.
Where can i find factory setting in advance mode? Please teach me too

My gun shoots kings in one hole but exactly at 900fps. How to ffind which settings is my gun using for that speed?

This may sound wierd ....... BUT:

First level Rifle with availability of change of calibers, plus chrony, plus automatic calculations, plus savings on time of tunning (of course the time of everyone cost different, irrespective than being limited on time, must valuable asset we all have is time).

Delta Wolf, being a pricey rifle, at the end is not so expensive .....
There you go now there’s someone that thinks like me. Do I want to spend a whole weekend tuning? f no. This is the answer

Got a video of the fps issue. This profile is set to shoot Barracuda Hunters at 845 fps. The profile is randomly being locked at a lower fps until the rifle is shut down and booted back up.

That's very strange. Do you get the same results with JSB pellets? Is it like the Ghost and single loaded pellets could inadvertently fall into the action?

I don't shoot many JSB these days, although I don't believe it to be a pellet issue but rather electrical. There is a noticeable POI change, but they group fine enough at the lower pressure.
