If you sight it in at 50 yards, you will only have 36 inches of drop at one hundred yards. Lmao.

Not the 'nervous nellie' type, but just no. Not with that kind of pressure. I'd shoot one if given the chance just to say I did it, but that's about it.

I don’t love that the air tanks don’t appear to have any type of support given the length but that’s probably just an aesthetics thing as opposed to a rational concern. Also regarding recoil, if anyone hasn’t seen this video, this is the current record holder @ 3250 fpe. He has a bunch of videos up, but his looks much lighter than the Zeus .95 so factor that in. Seems like instead of having the air tanks in the back maybe a heavy duty recoil management system is in order..?

Or worse, going to get someone killed because AEA quality control is a joke. Even the Fury above makes me think yeah that's cool as hell but what happens when all that pressure decides to come out somewhere other than the barrel. Consumers should not be regulated but manufacturers definitely should. Most firearms are not prone to lethal failure because they have real engineers and oversight at the manufacturing level. A lot of these smaller airgun companies are far from having the engineering and safety protocols in their design to prevent lethal failures. At this rate it's a matter of time.

Idk, SIG sure seems to get away with having horrible drop fire issues lol. Maybe because the gubberment has a contract with them for the new service pistols

I digress... I absolutely see this literal shoulder cannon being bad for us in the long run. As long as all the youtube asshats don't make stupid videos blowing up squirrels in their backyard(Edgun Leshiy), we might be okay.

It’s interesting because in a sense it is against their own interest if that is the case (AEA). A large percentage of their American market would dissolve overnight.

As we all know it takes someone doing something stupid with it, but with the way social media works there’s a lot of people who upload videos with titles like,
“xyz airgun MORE POWER THAN [cartridge]!!!”

This one is going to be great for views shooting a watermelon through a car door…

I’ve come to the conclusion the inevitable march of progress will cause PCP tech to face regulation. It’s without a doubt a question of time. Honestly the biggest issues are any online retailers checking ids… and as previously mentioned the idiots on social media who use bipedal animal ballistic targets, and compare PCPs to pbs.

The only thing we can hope for is when it comes we can get carve outs for under certain power levels, simply caliber based, and or grandfathering.

I only hunt alone, so I never hunt dangerous game. Even with backup many smarter people choose double barrel rifles when hunting dangerous game. More reliable and quicker follow up shots. This can't be said for the Zeus. Bears can climb trees!

Ha! The P320 is specifically why I said "most". I know many folks will argue til they are blue in the face over the safety of striker fired pistols. My G2c even has a striker-block and I still won't carry it chambered because there's no decock mech and it's not a true DA in that respect. I'm just not going to walk around knowing there's a cocked and locked striker waiting to release whenever it feels like it. A p320 has no striker block so to me some of the liability does fall on consumers to know what's inside their weapon and make an informed decision on whether or not to buy one at all. In no way does this absolve SIG from making the mistake of offering a gun that functions this way and yes I totally believe they have been shown favoritism. If the G2C was out here randomly shooting people in the leg Taurus would have the hammer brought down on them. (pun intended) just like AEA will when one of their POS semi autos send a full mag through someones back while they're walking up to check their target.

Just to round this out and I'll say imo only hammer fired DA pistols should be used for personal carry and anyone who disagrees is welcome to run the risk of SIG-LEG but it won't be me. Also I think many of the semi auto airguns should be discontinued based on their function and potential to ruin the entire industry. So far I haven't seen any safe semiauto mechs in airguns and already would never own full auto because I know they're gonna get us in trouble eventually and want no part of it.

The .95 cal Zeus ties into this simply because consumers need to realize that just because something is offered it doesn't mean it's not really really unsafe. Airguns should have a max caliber limit because of the amount of air it takes to propel the huge big bore projectiles and the dangers that are inherently increased when those reasonable thresholds are ignored. Not to mention an unintentional discharge from a .95 could take your head clean off. It's not just firearms experts that are looking at these it's novelty owners. A lot of ingredients are here to make a recipe for disaster.
