N/A Best budget .22 pcp, what is your opinion?

notos if you want a pistol or a pistol with a stock.. 24-28 regulated shots per fill.. but if you want a actual rifle could go with the umarex gauntlet SL model or the avenger.. I have a liberty that is very similar to the avenger and it gets as I remember around 60 shots per fill and mine is good out to 160 yards..
I don't think you can go wrong with the notos.. here's a picture of mine.. I shortened the barrel and recrown, and put a 3d printed moderator in the shroud.. it's more accurate and quiet than factory.. and just under 16 inches long.

I started down the budget path with a DARgen2 and it was great for a while then the poppet leaked and no amount of polishing will get it to stop. Next I tried JTS Airacuda and it's more accurate but rougher than DAR even unregulated I get very consistent shots. Still shooting that one. Just recently I got the bug again and got an Avenge-x standard and it's hard hitting in .22 right out of the box,. Accurate and when filled to 300 bar 64 or so shots at 2200 psi on the regulator that it was set at. It does have reg creep and the first shot is 2600 psi.
I wish I had saved the money from them all and bought a Daystate Revere unregulated. Maybe that will be next.

I'm going off the Notos thing to the Walther Reign or the Walther Reign 2.

I've had a Reign in .22 since just after they came to market (early 2020)...
Have had "zero" problems. That is no air holding problems, no cocking problems, no trigger problems, no hitting the the point of aim problems. If you don't mind a plastic stock, that is hard to scratch, and doesn't dent, this is a very good choice for the dollar.
It's great for left or right hand shooting. Both the cocking lever can be swapped to either side, the magazine can be inserted, from either side.

well Mike vv is someone who has actual knowledge.. guess I'd probably agree with whatever he says.. I have talked with him about several guns and he is right..
Mike, how is the tequila gun holding up? been awhile.. sure wish I had followed your advice on the attaman ap16 compact but it was, well a bit more than I could do.. so I ended up setting with the notos and then taking it to my shop and it is a lot better than it was but not a attaman, tequila gun or huben gk1..
great to read something you posted 😊

my first PCP is the Avenge X, very good value for money in my opion if that counts and accurate out the box, fully adjustable hammer spring and regulator all externally without having to tear down the rifle
it was on my list for possibly the next rifle, with a bottle.. but then I saw it's price with the bottle and then it didn't seem like a budget gun.. not good hearing about the regulator creep, do you know if it has the stainless steel regulator like the replacement one they are selling? just wondering.. but it sounds like it might be a slow creep? you didn't mention it creeping between shots.. glad to hear it is a good one..

So it has the stainless reg in it, during shooting so far no visible creep, but I have noticed that after a week the reg did go from 1500psi to 1800psi... have not had much time on it as yet. But nothing that concerns me at the moment
We have the alum bottle here in South Africa so a little cheaper than the US carbon bottle I think mine worked out to 618 dollars for the bottle bullpup
