Arken Zulus reviewed on the Airmaks Krait X (Video inside)

I just wish it had a bit more optical zoom, but the digital TBH it look as if it is using a higher megapixel sensor, and if that is starvis 2 then either the 5 mpix IMX 675 or the 8 mpix IMX 678

It is not that i want 1440p or 4K recordings, 1080p are fine for this, but large mpix sensor allow for more digital zoom before the footage go all Lego like.

Anyways i am keeping a aye out for one of these selling over here in EU ville, CUZ i would like to get me some of that too.

PS: Prepare for your shot shed to be out shot shedded some time during the year ;) We are in shed mode here, and if weather permit construction mode soon.

PPS: it is nice to see here the range finder laser is lined up with the crosshair, dunno if thats by chance, but i have seen others where its offset to the side, which just play havoc with my OCD

Good to see these finally getting out to the public. I have been usingbthe zulus for a while now and it is the best bang for the buck. I have tested ALOT of day/night scopes and man it packs a punch. The arken app is also a portal for your firmware update. Yes you can focus the ir and with it on max and focused I was getting clear video of a horse at 375y. They are made with a removable pill so you will be able to swap the ir for a 940nm for a little more incognito setup. Also some short and long button presses give you some different things. When in the zeroing menu short press of power freezes the screen so you can move reticle to POI, left button long press goes from day to night mode, short press of left button while in night mode changes the ir brightness, short press of the right button is screen brightness 1-6, long press of right button brings up an information screen and turns wifi on repeat to turn off. Short press of the settings button will change your reticle color on the fly and the long press brings you into the menu, short press while on will put the unit in standby. I'm sure there is more but just off the top of my head. If anyone needs help feel free to reach out.

That thing is sweet !! Such a hard decision. Will I really use a night optic 🤷‍♂️. Just don’t know and for just a regular scope some really damn good glass can be had for 700 bones. Tough one for sure.
I have been struggling for a very long time to find a glass scope that my eyes like. More so the reticle my eyes just can't adjust to these FFP scopes it seems. That's what I have been leaning towards these digital scopes. Between me Bing able to see the reticle, the day image quality and the ability to record shots does it for me. Add that all ontop of a night scope built in with a built in ir light and a on board lrf if you like bust bang for the buck in my opinion right now.

Have to agree the scope is sweet and intuitive to use. I hope at some future point that the ”profile” can be seen on the main shooter screen. There are 26 possible profiles, you should be able to tell without going into the zeroing menu. Also, for me the quality of what I see on played back video is not what I see on the screen. And though I really, really like it, I don’t ever see it becoming my primary optic. Real glass, particularly during the day for me. I purchased this scope for its form factor and NV capabilities. No regrets.

I'd like the MOA reticle to me a little thicker but even more so I'd like to see more MOA added to the vertical line, both up and down.
I'd also like the IR level to return to where you had it if you go into sleep mode and come back out.
