Couple House Sparrow hits

Very good, my favorite house sparrow decoration is perforation. It looks like you have the Impact dialed in nicely.

Quick question....in the first shot where you took out the male, was that a strategic choice? Reason I'm asking is, I try to take out the female first to remove the egg-layer. The more biologically valuable one, so to speak.

Thank you. I had so many sparrows coming to the feeder that caused a level of chaos with the birds. Most of the birds would drop in hop around and pick up a couple pieces of seed and bolt. As the birds did that it was causing other birds to just drop in hop a few times and fly off to a nearby tree. The skittish birds would come back as the other birds flew off. So the female bird thats at the feeder with the male I took was probably being some what erratic while that male stood there proud for the shot. These two hits are from a batch of about 6 more and one or two of those show some of the chaos as birds flew in and out causing the group to hop and bounce around and just fly off without even grabbing food.

Jason,
This is perfect logic which I had not thought of before. I personally do not know female Hosps from other female sparrows and rarely take them. Male hosps are easy peazy ID and I kill everyone I can.

Yeah I had a hard time at first distinguishing the females confidently but eventually got comfortable with the tan band behind the eye.
