We had another great turnout for the February Indoor FT match (and swap meet). In addition to the shooting competition, it seemed like everyone had something to sell or trade. These indoor FT events serve as a way to practice, a way to try something new or different, and is a good way introduce new people to the FT game. For a few shooters, this was their first Field Target experience, we hope they had fun and will continue shooting FT.
The course is configure for an AAFTA legal difficulty for Offhand Rifle with a difficulty of 26.4 (moderate). The most difficult target on the course was a 1 inch Rat at 21.5 yds.
Since the targets are at a shorter distance than the outdoor game, it opens up some fun ways to shoot this that don't work well in the 55yd outdoor game. A few notable ways were using: multi-pump guns; open-sights; and pistol - all offhand.
