Other Rare production airguns?

For you member specie...Theoben SLR 88 Imperator Field Target .177 (non-HE) HE=high energy...gas ram. Hand built by "Master" Gunsmiths at Theoben UK around late '80's. I will let others argue about the numbers produced...But good luck finding one....I've been pestering a fellow AGN member to post pictures of his Theoben SLR 88."Ultra Carbine" one of two I know of in the USA...I heard 6 or 10 were produced...sure would like to see some pix's of that one myself!

Well if you go back and re- read, I mentioned the engraved one off ...in respect of the rarest all time.
You cannot get much lower than a one off or it's no gun at all ...
Yeah hadn't considered commemoratives.....
Then pistols....dozens of one offs I guess.

no need to re-read and yes any custom shop item can be and often is a one off item. since you mention clearly also 25 items I focused on that portion as many including myself don't regard one off items as "production" guns which the OP specified.

Bit of annoying little poop ain't ya....
To be fair The Imperial Express is hardly a copy, or slightly altered alternative to models which already have vast production numbers...I.E your Stainless finish HW35, or Beemans one offs of existing models, Running many 1000s in regular blue, but a hand built 25 off replicating nothing out there.
It has to be a reasonable shout as being one of the rarest and finest, but I'd suppose we can always dig something up to counter someone's choice. I just don't lambast anyone else for doing so, but instead just enjoy what they bring...
In addition, it certainly does not seem to have a greater production run than any of lowest specials made which all seem to be averaging about 10 to 25 units going by what has been shared above.
The one off engraved special of this gun seemed a fair mention to me (despite what you say) given many of those above are also specials. The Theoben original rammer pre production prototype is something I could have added but didn't in trying to follow the OP.

There's always someone who will take humbridge I guess....if anyone else has an issue with the post like you I'll bin it off with an apology no problems here.

Ah yes, the little insults from far away when someone does not agree with you. I see it all the time and in fact from you. I had blocked you a while ago and no idea how you got back into posting where we interact. In fact, it was over the same airgun that you posted on one my threads this pneumatic AG that was specifically listed for piston guns and a childish retort. The stainless 35 that you think I may be referencing is actually chrome so another error on your part. If a particular model is somehow altered, you really think that it does not make it a rare item? Shallow thinking from a toilet floater I guess some might say. Lambast someone, hardly. I am giving facts and info but those who cannot accept being wrong will view things as they like it seems. You claimed it is possibly the rarest and most expensive air rifle of all time and proved it is false (aka lies) with examples, for that you take umbrage?! Oh, well sad to say your problem. Now you try to take issue with my facts, no opinions involved...

Specie was originally asking about rare "production" airguns. In my opinion, this eliminates one offs. One offs are just that.... a non- production airgun. Production infers available to the masses.
So, all the name calling and bantering in the world won't change that. From my POV, it seems like petty envy.....something that shouldn't be voiced here.
If a member has to resort to blocking another member, the situation has gotten out of hand. A little respect and restraint is the answer. After all, we are all here to enjoy ourselves, not argue.

My 2 cents

Yup, I agree. It's just a hobby.
I saw many airguns I never knew existed...thanks to ya'all.
I'm surprised nobody called me out on the FWB200, and the Walther LP52? They are not only not one offs, they don't really exist at all!

Didn't call you out as you were clearly joking but would not have bothered anyway..
Someone did argue in regard of that stamped up LP52 some years back...Len doing a real number on him.
I wonder if it was a first off prototype (pre production) or a typo during the stamping.

The fellow that got his post blocked is well known for it sadly ....
I guess there is nothing much more annoying than some individual jumping all over someone's post overly critical about what anyone brings.
Sure, follow the title post, but no need to get silly if someone brings a one off piece for interest....it's not a competition. Loved seeing the guns you guys bought here regardless of production or one off.

That's the LP52 for what it's worth.....I just don't know to be honest, despite being an expert on them, I usually bow to Lens greater experience...who says no...
