N/A New prototype.

Finally pinned the valve and tested a 65 grain slug at 3000psi. It should be right where I want it at a 4000psi fill.

New to PCPs let alone “home built monsters” so excuse my ignorance. Are you talking about using .357/9mm “powder bullets” as slugs in these??

I’m a .357 kinda guy, I was just looking at a Henry .357 lever action a few days ago in fact (threaded of course for my Rugged Alaskan suppressor). The ability to potentially use these same bullets/castings would be amazing.

Essentially, yes. I use 158 grain bullets that I pulled from 38 specials in my homemade 357 pistol and I've been using 65 grain slugs and 110 grain hard cast 308 lead bullets in this particular rifle. Both work great.

Your typical off the shelf pcp 357 wont have the ass behind it to push the 158s as well as what Bearded is building. These are going to be alot more powerful from what I'm seeing.

You're looking at 100-150 fpe for a 357 off the shelf, a 30 cal would be even less. These rifles he's building are going to be in the 200-300+ range, depending on caliber. If he can get a 158 grain 357 going even 950, that's around 315 fpe!
 
Got to mess with the 308 today. I made a balance valve for it which I have to pin so I only tested it at 1650psi and got 750fps. I should still go supersonic at 4000psi.

Tomorrow I'm going to be making the trigger, hammer and cocking assembly along with a cap to finalize the rear of the assembly and give it 1 of two places to bolt to the stock.
 
Well I finally got the hammer and trigger assembly done and the assembly into the stock. Don't mind the tape holding it together temporarily lol. I don't know how I managed it, but I did some more work on the valve. It was dumping the whole tank before but now it's only using about 250psi a shot and I'm still getting the same velocity 😳. I'm still going to regulate it though.
