N/A CARBINE - Affordable AND Traditional Looking Carbine (less than 40" OAL) Suggestions Please.

Short, affordable, and traditional.
Im looking for a short carbine, that is inexpensive and traditional in apperance.

Id prefer:

1. LESS THAN 41" OVER ALL LENGTH
2. LESS THAN $900
3. .22 or .25
4. TRADITIONAL LOOKING. (Wood stock, no bull pup)
5. ACCURATE TO 50 YARDS.

I have the following on my radar that are close, but are longer than I would prefer:

44" Avenger X
41" Aircuda Max
40" DAR Dynamic Gen. 3

There must be other options.
Any suggestions?

The Zbroia guns have always peaked my interest as a somewhat budget friendly, but seemingly high quality option. In certain ways the photos remind me of Taipan Veterans, which I KNOW are high quality. No personal experience with the Zbroias, but here's another one to consider.

The two shorter configurations fit your length and tradition al sporter requirements.

This gun appears to have a rather large air reserve. Not overly long. I know these are extremely well built, as well as extremely accurate. Classic looks.

Those are interesting.
Magazine under block/scope rail.
Barrels made in house, by Zbroia.
330, 450, and 550mm barrel options.
The 330mm barrel version = 35" overall length.
And even the 450mm barrel option, overall length would still be under 40".

I have a Zbroia Hortitsia. It’s a wonderful 35.5” tradition rifle. No mod required because it has baffles in the shroud. I only take it squirrel hunting once a year and sadly never shoot it much any other time. I just have too many .22’s. It’s a 300b fill gun but I only ever fill it to around 250-260b and the shot count is just fine. I have been debating selling it. If you can snag one, you just need to bump up the reg a little and get the hammer spring set properly again. They come shooting just a little slow.

It shoots just fine. It comes from a part of the world that doesn’t produce junky PCP’s. The main thing you need to pay attention to if you get one is shroud tension. When you screw the shroud on, it tensions the barrel. It loves AA 16gr pellets. But I can instantly make the gun hate those pellets if I treat the shroud like I’m tightening a lug nut on a truck. The mags are cool, thin and metal. The straight pull bolt is actually nicer than a big ole side lever. I bought it new. Paid too much for it. But what else is new. Once I shot it and carried it through the woods, all regrets were gone. What species is the wood? A very comfortable species.

I've always liked the looks of the Hortitsia, especially with the 330mm barrel in .22. I like the continuous scope rail for better mounting options and I like the looks of the black ash wood stock. The only thing that concerns me is the after service support being that they're based out of Ukraine. @Vetmx, Any experience with that?
