Brocock/BRK Ghost (Fady Kiwan) 'World Record' Edition Rifle with 28" barrel

...sometimes ignorance is bliss...!!!...I would have been perfectly content with my new Ghost HP if I had not seen this thread...!!!... o_O
It literally would most likely do anything you need it to do just as well. This is nothing more than the 10000 dollars worth of ads ons for an impact that are 150 thousand percent unnecessary to make it shoot great. People just buy into the hype in my opinion. So is this gun over priced?? I mean apparently not if you add up all the “upgrades” but in the end is it Really I mean Really going to be so much nicer that a 1000 dollar less ghost ? Does the simple fact that 250 or whatever are all that is going to made guarantee it will be coveted in the future and maintain value ? Don’t get me wrong I would be tempted to buy it just because it looks badass and nothing to do with any of the other hype. Give me one with the exact color layout but everything bone stock except maybe the arca rail at a reasonable price and I’d be all in. In closing have they sold out yet ?

...who knows...???...probably not but possibly so...I do know that AoA has some on order...I am hoping to get one...

...as mentioned before, I am not enamored by the WR rifle's looks...the limited production aspect I find annoying...

...hopefully it will help the rifle retain value...but that is beside the point...

...it is mostly the specially developed and tensioned barrel that caught my attention...

...in any endeavor the last percentage of performance or precision is always beyond the point of diminishing returns...

...I do like the arca rail protection for the air tank as well, but wish it was black...

...if the whole rifle was anodized flat dark earth or olive drab, I would like it even better...

...it is less compact and heavier than the HP, which is a negative factor for me, but a 0.2 lbs. and 1.4" penalty is tolerable...

...the way the lever handle issue has been addressed is just a little bonus...it makes up for the top rail being less aesthetically pleasing to me...

...that said, the standard Ghost is no beauty to my eye...a $600 "Benjamin" Cayden looks much better to me...and shoots very well too...

...I should probably just keep shooting that rifle and forget the Ghosts...I paid $450 for my Cayden...(grin)...

- Barrel tensioner is now available from BRK 132 bp
- ARCA rail 158 bp
- Pic Rail 63 bp
- BRK Silencer 95 bp
- Special Color job difference in price is 150 bp

- Total difference 598 British pounds USD= 760 usd

Now the rest of the difference between the AOA priced Ghosts 3195$ special WR edt., - reg. HP Ghost 2295$ = 900$ USD

I did not factor the custom slide handle but lets say and some mild trigger smoothing, 40$ extra so 'about' 100$ 'premium' for a british PCP limited ed rifle. You decide but I be Loving It so far! Charlie

The tensioner is now available to purchase from brocock web site. I placed an order and I would say “yes” at home with directions included with kit.
The only consideration would be how much intention is optimal.
The best thoughts 💭 would be clamp is set to a certain spot or distance on barrel then place carbon tube over barrel and screw on muzzle cap. The muzzle cap screws onto barrel and places tension on cf tube. My 💭 s.
Looks solid and waiting for a package.

...you're doing it wrong...LoL... .!.:D.!.

...in light of the new information I was considering keeping the HP and ordering a tensioner kit, but I still like the Idea of a factory tuned rifle too...

...I am tragically mechanically declined...

...does that tube thing with the three grub screws go over the shroud...?!?...I would think that would mess it up...

...I had assumed that it went onto the barrel itself and the shroud butted up against it...but that would make it too long...(???)...

...that extended ARCA tripod mount is getting to be a bit too complicated for me...

EDIT: a bit less confused now...I found this over at Hard Air...it looks like a trimmed shroud is part of the package, eh...

...maybe I will change me mind on the WR after all...the main attraction was the barrel tensioner...

...still not sure if I could do it right...

...the price of the HP with a moderator and one extra magazine and the tensioner kit is up to $2700+...

...add the cool ARCA rail...$2900...getting pretty close to the WR...

Update: The "green" hammer spring is super strong! lol With power wheel at min to 3 with regulator set to 120-140 was 920-930 fps w 22 cal MRD but super narrow tuning window. I called shane at AOA and he said go higher on Reg. So I tried 145-160 bar w the Reg. at the shot cycle is crisp but tuning window was razor thin. Go up 1 on power and go up 10-30 fps.
Tomorrow calling AOA and ordering a 'red' and a 'yellow' hammer spring.
