FX .25 fx maverick sniper

I tuned my M3 in about 10-15 minutes, and it's my first and only M3. Just follow the steps, shouldn't take more than a magazine, maybe part of a second. For pellets of course.
The process doesn't take long, but finding the right tune for the specific projectile in your specific conditions can. If you're happy, thats great. But it can take a lot of trial and error, I don't think I'm making it sound difficult. Even tuning a rifle with only one regulator with the hammer spring can take time. It really comes down to the expectations of the user.
I've owned a Maverick, I've been there. It was my 6th PCP, and I tuned all of those with the exception of a Charlie Frear Cricket that arrived perfect.

I shoot the 30 Yard Challenge on this site. It took me a lot of man hours to get to 197 with the Maverick. Thousands of pellets to find the right tune. I suffered from a POI shift with the rifle. It wasn't a huge shift, but it was there. If you look at the target size, you'll know what I'm talking about. It would change to a different clock position at random. I knew the tune was right, they would group then just shift on me.

I sold it and bought a different rifle. I only have about 500 pellets through it, still learning the rifle, and I have already scored a 196. And if I didn't catch a bad pellet in #7 it could have been a 198. And it cost less than a Maverick.

With the Maverick I washed and sorted all the pellets.
With the new rifle I have been shooting straight from the tin.

I’m not going in with any preconceptions of how easy or difficult it will be. I have lots of experience with powder rifles, been in the military. You get what you get and move forward. If it’s completely dialed in, great if not I’ll enjoy the process of getting it there. Called spaw today, they took my order over the phone, they need to order the Yokozuna from DonnyFL as they do not carry that moderator yet. Im sure I’ll have in a week or two. Then the journey begins…
