FX Fx royal information

I have a Royale 400 in .22. The Royale/Boss platform is an old one, but well proven. It uses a solid Smooth Twist barrel, not the liner/sleeve system found in their later rifles. It is a simple, robust design, and the only FX design for which I have much admiration. For a general purpose PCP rifle, I don't think you can do much better. I have dispatched a lot of squirrels with mine, and the POI never varies, even after long periods of storage. Since the rifle to which you refer is used, I would suggest talking with the AOA folks about dealer warranty coverage.

AoA is a great place to purchase from they stand behind their sales.
Thanks I was interested in a crown.I think I would like a regulated rifle.
Well mine will be up at some point. It is a green laminate. Since AoA can’t buy part or guns or pellets or anything FX since the divorce, they had to send it to North Carolina to get a minor and it’s first air leak fixed.

It sure is a nice rifle,is Fx well made.
Yes I think they are, I enjoyed mine. The only reason I traded it is because getting it fixed became complicated. I live in Phoenix about 20 miles away from AoA. Having to send an airgun that I bought at AoA out of state to be fixed went against the reason I bought from AoA to begin with. So I traded the FX and a bundle of cash for a Daystate Red Wolf in .22. I thought the Crown was amazing but the Daystate in my opinion and for me is far superior.

And here's Gerry chiming in! GREAT RIFLE! GREAT PRICE! The Boss, Bobcat, Royale platform from FX are the only guns by them that I care to own. They won't shoot slugs, as a rule, because of the Original Smooth Twist barrels being designed around JSB pellets but they are arguably some of the best pellet barrels ever made!!! I've taken thousands of ground squirrels with my 3 guns. They're incredibly reliable, accurate, repeatable & NEVER let me down if I'm on my game. You can't ask for a better traditional pcp platform. 100+ yard shots have become routine for me with my personal best at 178 yards with my Boss (Basically a .30 Royale). Try finding negative posts about their performance. I'll bet it won't be easy! (Picture: front to back: .22 Bobcat , .25 Royale, .30 Boss)

I want to clarify this statement I made, "The Boss, Bobcat, Royale platform from FX are the only guns by them that I care to own." This is NOT to say there is anything WRONG with other guns in the FX lineup. It's just MY personal preference in style and SIMPLICITY! I don't care for the feel of tactical guns, I prefer traditional rifle styling and I DON'T want to tinker constantly to have a great shooter! Straight out of the box orgasmic accuracy, that's what I'M talkin' about.

I've owned both, and I agree, the Daystate Red Wolf over the Crown. But, the OP's question regarded the Royale, which is a very different rifle. IMO, the Royale is one of the best rifles that a new PCP owner could choose, and the Crown one of the worst. Although somewhat oversimplified, the Royale is a shooter's rifle, and the Crown is a hobbyist's toy.

Airguns of Arizona has an Fx royals in.22 is it a current model.is it regulated .can I get some feedback? The price seems reasonable 950
Royale models from about 2017 and on I believe are regulated. I got my Royale 500 in 2017 & it's regulated. Ask aoa if it's a current model.
EDIT: I just looked at the aoa Royale. It looks like a fairly current gun (cf bottle, 2 position power wheel I think). I assume it's regulated.

Not really, compared to most any other brands. They tend to be on the flimsier side. And quality control always seems to be lacking to some degree.
Nothing is too simple to be screwed up by incompetence or indifference. But my experience and observation suggest that the Boss/Royale line is generally of solid assembly and without issues.
