Shooters are far as the eye can see. Shortcut and I were side by side during the practice session. Had a great time but the wind was something else. I was aiming at the bull on the left to hit the bull to the right of it. I’ve shot in some windy conditions but todays wind trumps all. Lots of laughing

! LOL, Yes, they leave a lot to be desired. They are certainly not bench rest tables that I am accustomed to shooting from. I did get to oogle a couple of fine looking Thomas rifles adjacent to my bench.

A couple of HPX’s, I believe that couple travel the circuit every yr. Good luck to you sir.

Thanks Jo, I certainly could use a boatload of luck. They are calling for more wind tomorrow and even more on Saturday. Oh well, it’s the same for everyone.

The winds were kind to us on the first card but not so much on the second card. Everyone’s scores reflected it.
My first card a 221, 5x:
And the windy second card 195, 2X: Just to give you an idea of the wind conditions we were shooting in, I was holding off on the left side of the left target in order to hit the target to its right. It was crazy

Wow! The difference in scores to the second card is CRAZY! Impressive how some of the 2nd cards didn’t drop as much for some. Can’t imagine how hard that was. Goes to show how much you have to practice in the crappy wind too. Props to those that do this!The winds were kind to us on the first card but not so much on the second card. Thanks Tom. Too bad I couldn’t follow that score up on card #2 but at least my 195 was good enough to squeeze me into the final on Saturday. I had a great first time experience shooting my first 100Y match and also my first major match. At least I had the foresight to take copious notes in my range log book which will help my practice routine for a more thorough prep for 2024
