Too much time

Weather is HOT so in the comfort of my air conditioning I installed two high quality Butt plates from PRS on my Daystate Redwolf and Daystate Revere. Then I got brave or stupid and put a similar adjustable butt plate from England on my Air Arms TX 200. Mission accomplished.
I can honestly say that projects like these make me miss all the bells and whistles my ol woodshed used to have.

Must’ve been quite the woodshed…. Air conditioning and all…

LOL the comfort of A/C

A bunch of us braved the heat and we were shooting the Oregon Grand Prix over the weekend. Saturday was 102 and Sunday was cooler at 99? KUDOS to the Oregon team for putting on a GREAT Grand Prix match. Thank you for keeping us fed and hydrated. The ice packs were also a nice touch.

And of course for those extra few points, I had my heavy shooting jacket on for each shot. I did take my shooting jacket off between lanes. I may be stupid but I'm not insane. Side note, the Oregon ants seems to love my heavy sweaty shooting jacket (they swarm all over it when I set it on the ground, must be my cologne).

There was definitely? some scope temp shift error on both days.

There was definitely some power fluctuations from my Tony Leach TX in the heat. chrono gun (cold, one day before the match, in Oregon's in-door 25 yard shooting tunnel?) = 11.5 FPE, chrono during the match (per match rule) = 10.3 FPE. Those were some of my excuses for my poor performance.

Sunday, was speeding home thru Northern Interior California, the outside temp hit 116. You can feel the heat even with the car A/C on. (time to get a new car with a better A/C? ...naw saving up for a March FT scope is probably a higher priority).

STAY cool and shoot straight.

I was riding my MC, Honda ACE Tour, a few decades back down 5 from Medford to San Jose, in July with typical temps for that area...HOT. Fully air-conditioned of course, wearing leathers. Good luck getting a car with good AC.
