Perspective

I shot this five shot group at fifty yards with my highly self touted 177 HW95. It looked great through the scope until I waded through waist high chigger and tick invested grass only to find it was twice the size it looked through the scope.

Oh well better luck tomorrow. In all fairness it was a random tin and the gun was last sighted at ten yards in my basement.

I'm here for a week. Hopefully I can redeem myself.

@Mycapt65 Looks like a good group for 50 yards. Which shooting position did you shoot this group from? Did you use a shooting rest? Which state was this photo taken in? I hear you on the ticks and chiggers in the grass. I currently have bites up and down my legs and arms. It helps if you’re able to cut a path with a weed eater, weed cutter, or grass whip.

An inch group at 50 with a springer is nothing to sneeze at. Looks good to me.
Thanks I've had to shoot indoors mostly at ten yards lately. It's nice to finally play outside on my own property. This gun has been sub MOA at fifty plenty of times before but it's been a while. I'm looking forward to playing with it today.

I was shooting from this table. I hold the rifle keeping both elbows on the table. I lean my left forearm on the stacked bags.
I'm at my new (to me) Arkansas place.. I just got here yesterday and didn't have the time and equipment to address the trail grass. Last time I was here was in early April and I can't believe how over grown it got in two months. Looks like Vietnam. I just weed whacked a swath around the house. My hands are still buzzing. There's got to be a better way.

@Mycapt65 I meant to that the tools can be used to cut a path on your shooting lane to your target to prevent picking up biting and parasitic insects. I didn’t know if you were on a lease or what. I was wondering if that was property in NY because it kinda looks like my region of Texas. Arkansas makes sense. Congrats on the new property.

That is a good group. More practice and it will be the size of a quarter. Any trigger time is a good time. Worried about bugs? Say no more.

My new bug repellent. Spray this stuff and bugs stay away. Has a really nice on/off switch. Doesn't leave that stickiness like Off or Cutter sprays.

I could maybe get a group at 50 like that with a springer, at least my delusions say I might be able, but it would be from a bag. Doing it off of your elbows is some proper bragging rights sir.
What lives in the tiny barn?
It's gonna be a small chicken coop. I like eggs 😋
