Mirror, Mirror on the wall, which is the fastest full Auto of them all?

OK,OK, I'm only talking about my LCS and Hatsan Blitz .30 cal. Both fully charged both with 17 rounds, used my cell phone stopwatch. Practiced a few times then went full auto.

The Blitz went through 17 rounds in 1.94 seconds. The LCS took 4.34 seconds for 17 rounds. Even with human error the Hatsan is clearly the winner by 2x.

What does this matter? Not a thing.
Who gives a rats butt? Nobody.

MOD EDIT: we do not condone any airgun for the use of self defense. Please refer to the forum rules.

However....as far as accuracy during full auto I'll choose the LCS. :)

4+ seconds seems like an awfully long time to clear a 17 round mag. Kind of defeats the purpose of full auto if you can fire faster in semi, right?

Anyway I love my Blitz. I won’t comment explicitly on something you mentioned, but let’s just say I would NOT want to be downrange of that gun.

That does seem pretty slow. I am pretty sure I can fire 17 rounds in 4 seconds with any semi auto.......going to test now. ;)

Back.

The best I could do with the Biltz in semi auto mode (The worst semi auto trigger of any gun I own....) was 4 rounds per second in a Caldwell Precision clamping rest. I don't have any other semi auto airguns, so I will have to try a 22 with a good trigger on it later. I think I can probably cut that time down by several seconds.

Kind of on topic - Shouldn't Hatsan ship the Blitz with TWO of their high capacity "belt fed" mags rather than those anemic mags from the Factor guns?

Hurah for science!

That’s still faster than the 4.34 on the LCS full auto. Barely, but faster. Maybe out of the vise you’ll have more leverage and can pull faster? Let me know your further findings. I’ll run the same test when I’m back home at my range.

I agree about the high capacity mags. I have two pre-ordered from Pyramyd Air and have been waiting forever. Can’t wait to throw away the flimsy ones that shipped with the gun. Well, maybe not throw away. I’ll keep them loaded in the back of my safe just in case. Assuming they don’t get chewed through before the new ones arrive.

You can adjust the rate of fire on the LCS although I do not
think it can match the Blitz. The LCS has many operation happening as each shot cycles.

Cyclic rate adjustment is great! I wish the blitz had it. I would like a 2 or 3 shot burst with a single press and release of the trigger. On the Blitz I can't get it down below 4 and I have to concentrate on releasing the trigger, so the burst group is wider than it would be if I could concentrate on just the trigger pull and let the release follow naturally.

Has anyone made some high capacity mags for the LCS or any other larger caliber airguns? My friend who owns actual machine guns is interested in a 9mm full auto bullpup airgun that has at least a 30 round magazine.

I have both, the LCS-SK19 and the Hatsan Blitz. The LCS, Huben K1 and Sidewinder all seem to use the same system. The Huben K1 does not fire as fast as you can pull the trigger, it seems limited just like the LCS. It seems like a mechanical limiter to me.

The Hatsan Blitz on the other hand has a very simple mechanic for cycling, a spring powdered by the air used to fire the gun.
I have a LMBR chronograph and that one can measure rate of fire. The standard blitz comes lubed with some white thick grease, I had a lot of problems getting mine to function properly so I basically disassembled the airgun, cleaned everything and relubed everything.
This made the mechanics MUCH smoother and MUCH faster, I had to tighten the magazine spring as the cycling was damaging the red plastic pellet holding part of the magazine.
I'm not sure as I didn't have the chronograph before relubing but I would guess the rate of fire was around 1000 rpm. Last time I tested my blitz it's rate of fire was 1400 rpm. The Baikal Drozd can be modded to 5000 rpm but that's .177. My Blitz is .25 cal so I think it's very impressive but I wonder how long it will last at that rate of fire, there has to be some mechanical wear.
I'm trying to buy the Blitz BP and once I get it I intend to compare them and the rate of fire.

I think the white paste that Hatsan lubricates the gun with reduces the cycling rate as it was like very thick toothpaste compared to the gun oil I used once I cleaned it all off.
