PAC West Airgun Show comments

Went to the Pacific West Airgun Show this last Saturday, and although some may say “ahh, it was ok” I’d like to say I had a great time. This is my third year attending and at most I only purchase a few Knick knacks items I need, never any big purchases, I always have a blast. It’s mostly the camaraderie I enjoy, and this year I finally got to chat up with MOTÖRHEAD , I met QBALL for the first time, and also met up with SACRAMENTO SAM. Sam sure had some cool samples of his 3D work on display just like this Taipan stock that lightens the gun by a solid pound-

.
I also met some vendors whom I’ve never seen before, and it’s always a pleasure to meet up with Gene and Rodger, the owners of airtanksplus. That company has grown, and aside from carrying tanks recently added to their catalog, they are now carrying upper tier PCP’s to sell. They had the new sidewinder on display, a couple of daystates, and also the new Epoch. Man, what a beautiful gun, and well packaged. That sidewinder with the removable rotary mag and how it locks itself back in is an engineering marvel.

So all in all a great time. Had lunch with QBALL and man that guy is a wealth of knowledge. Funny guy, too, as I almost choked on my food a couple of times due to laughter.
I tried picking MOTORHEADS brain, just to see how he contorts himself to some of the shooting positions he gets into that would leave me farting and probably soiling myself, lol.

Saw a few elderly folks, going from
table to table using canes and some using a walker, and to them I say “good on you” for still being out there, pursuing this hobby, and just plain enjoying life. This truly is a great community, and you can see the passion in these peoples eyes.

I was going to go but didn’t.
I have been before and shoot with most of the attendees although I too, am one of those senile, elderly people still out there.
I took advantage of the dry weather and caught up on some yard work and hedge trimming even though I am elderly, partially handicapped, soon to be 78.
Maybe the next time the BIGRAGU is near Fairfield he can stop in help me change my diaper.

Because I, too, am partially disabled and my fused up spine won’t let me haunch over, I’ll only help you change your diaper
if you’re strapped into an inversion bed hanging upside down. I’ll even bring the inversion bed to your place- Fair for Frank?

If your lucky, it’ll only be a wet diaper and not a soiled one

More of the show please...
What would you like to know? The pics I posted where all I took.

If anyone is interested, a vendor I met that’s a retired machinist for I believe Aerospace had a booth. His name was Greg. He had a surplus of machined moderators for gauntlet 1 and 2’s.

He also had a cool little timer deal that held poker chips stacked on their sides, and after so many seconds it would shoot one out and the chip would come rolling out, for a moving target. Seconds later another. So it was a set it and enjoy it kinda thing. He also had a spring loaded all stainless like 4” x 4” platform that you hand compressed down till you heard a click. The platform was now locked in the down position. You pull a string that releases the catch and it hurls a tin can up in the air about five feet. Also a form of moving target.
So I have Greg’s number if you are interested in any of the stuff I just explained send me a pm and I’ll pass along his number.

SACRAMENTOSAM is the guy who had the 3D display and made the taipan stock. That is his forum name here on AGN if you want to reach him.
