Objective Bell too close to the shroud?

If you want to use a scope cap, it's a non starter.
All other scenarios, you are good to go.

If it worries you, use a set of adjustable rings to get your objective off of the shroud a bit, and adjust for zero with the rear ring.

I can JUST slide a piece of paper between scope on my AP16 rail and the scopes front bell. And I had to "make" that clearance !
No problem. I know it's a little different that with the barrel, but also the same.
Unless you have a .50 cal. PCP, there isn't much...recoil .
