Machine work needed.

That's an interesting project for a newer airgun. Simple cal. change. I might be willing to help out.
Have a photo or two, or drawings of what you want? I'm in southwest Or. not that far away.
I have experience in making precision airgun parts in my machine shop.

I’ll be watching this, as I am also very interested in this. I have the .30 cal, but would love to tame this behemoth for .22 and backyard use.

Odd that one is looking to play with alternate barrels .. when the rifle will come with 3 state of the art barrels
Why make it more complicated when you have zero idea what your getting and how it shoots ?

In my case, I was gifted the gun by my brother, who also bought one for himself. I’d like to be able to use it at home, and .30 is a bit much for my use. They will be slowly releasing the other calibers, but I’m assuming that’s gonna be a while. This gun is kinda badass, and I’m kinda impatient to use it…a lot!

In videos, the unique CAM LOCKING of the barrel into the receiver breech will indeed take those parts If you can buy them ? .. that or cannibalizing a supplied barrel to get the parts required.

Yea, I too don't want another .30 cal and waiting for .22's making it to market.

While I'm very excited to see how the Epoch shakes out, I think they read the market wrong by launching their new platform with the .30. There's at least 3 here that would have liked a different caliber. Add me to that list- .22 or .25, but not .30.

My motivations are partially BC related, but also like @Scotty1 says, .30 is a big heavy chunk of lead, defeating the whole purpose of an airgun, in my opinion. Epoch seems to be chasing the slug monster, and not even trying to meet the desires of those of us who like airguns specifically b/c they are NOT firearms (in terms of power output). While slugs are getting all the attention, I'd hazard a guess that the sluggers are the squeaky wheel, ie, there are likely as many, if not more, of us who like to shoot pellets, and that's for various reasons.

@Lewis, I agree 100% with your desires to make it a .22 instead of a .30. If it works out, please share your results.

As I've thought more about today ... LP or AKA: Low pressure is best suited to greater area bores.
That very well may be the "Why For" the .30 was the first introduction ?

Getting there spool valve design to work correctly at the higher pressures required by less bore area of smaller calibers may just be a bigger hat trick than previously thought ?

Just thinking it threw and talking of those thoughts

What is the outside diameter of the Skout liner that you want the FX liner put into?

Lewis, did you get a .22 barrel fitted? If so, does it perform well? I assume you are single loading…
