Altaros M24 in stock!

Have not a clue, only found one video of this thing actually taken apart and it looks horrible. That hose looks like a ticking time bomb waiting to flail off at any second.
Well I think that there are a few guns that use a line to power other parts of a gun but for the most part they use a metal line. Perhaps it is just a prototype?
🤷‍♂️

That hose i do think is a necessity as the plenum / valving seem to be in the bolt itself.
That is i am assuming here , Not having a plenum there but at the end of what i once again assume are a restrictive hose, well it would be bad at least for the more air hungry larger calibers.

I do think it is sealed off, so even if a end totally let go it should not whip you in the face.
Also think it is a micro bore hose, it would be very bad if a 300 BAR hose with a 1/4 ince bore inside came loose at one end, but the micro bore hoses i think have limited " whipping " power, though it is probably enough still to take out a eye.

My Vulcan 3 that came with a wrong made and assembled plenum pipe, well it barely had any plenum as a result of the regulator being all the way at the very end of the pipe, so seemingly just a few thimblefuls of air behind the regulator.

Mind you the gun being .177 it still shot just fine, i only noticed this when i took it apart to up the regulator a bit.

I think elsewhere i have requested a bench gun with no bottle just a "small " plenum for shooting tethered to a inline regulator and a big bottle.
I also think i have requested airguns that look as real guns, like say the M1 Garand,, which of course have 0 room for a air bottle if it is to look the part.
But tethered to like a 0.5 L bottle on the back, like some play paintball, i would have no problems with as long as the connection point are made in a sensible place.

If anyone made a M1 in say .177, that also shoot pretty damn well as it have quality barrel and mechanics,,,,,, well i would pick up one in a heartbeat.
Even if i had to shoot tethered to a small bottle on the back, or a large bottle at the bench ( as i do anyway at the bench )
I do understand if the wood walkers / hunters or pestling people dont see it the same way, but i think there are a market for both kinds of air rifles.

I totally agree, while alluring, there are also some little bells going off, and it is not a cosplaying GF dressed up as a slutty tinker bell. 😛
I really would like a neutral party to test the damn thing, and by that i dont even mean any of the top brass airgun people / channels.
I've thought about getting one. Love the form factor and all, but I'm not totally convinced that it would be worth jumping through hoops to get one (I'd be super pissed if I had to make parts for it out of the box to get shooting to my expectations).

You should see if you can get the upgraded version that can shoot 1400 yards.

one of the most powerful regulated .22 airguns with 800mm barrel etc is having a hard time getting 40g up to speed.. is having it done but max out... you are going to tell me that flimsy toy is going to shoot 60g+ slugs 1400y accurately .. and now that is not the gun they are selling.. the guy that post here says that the one showing in YouTube on the horribly recorded vids shooting 60g + is only to show on what the modified version would do.. that is not for sale .. that what is for sale is their 36g+ or something like that slugs gun what a joke.. imagine FX promoting a 60g slug shooter only to tell you ...that is a custom gun not for sale in the configuration on the vid ...that you will need a machinists to custom fit the HP parts but they will be selling to the public their 35g shooting one.. Wait -- what ..?

I look at the new thread and again a lot of mistakes and inaccuracies, which I already explained elsewhere so I will add the correct information to this thread as well.

The third series is already in production. Most were sold in the Czech Republic and the rest in Europe.
Here is a link to one German shooter who gave the Altaros M24 a new stock.
gregor kamenšek (European airgun youtuber) has already M24 and will definitely do a review later.

The reason for the impossibility of shipping to the US is simple. In the Czech Republic, companies such as UPS, FeDex, DHL and others refuse to transport airguns. When we wrote directly to UPS why the Dutch Krale shop can send rifles to the US and we don't no one answered us. Therefore, the only way to transport to the US is to deal with special transport, which means a larger number of parcels via a distributor.
Our current production capacities (we also produce a lot of other products) have a problem supplying enough M24 rifles to the European market, so for now we have no reason to make complicated efforts to get products outside the EU.

The rifle, that is currently on the market, has a 120cc airtube, which allows it to fire about 10 shots at an energy of 75J per airtube filling (40 shots per airtube filling for a power of about 40J)
All details on the rifle are here: https://www.militaryairgun.com/pcp-rifles/119-altaros-m24.html
or .25 https://www.militaryairgun.com/pcp-rifles/201-altaros-m24-25.html
The reason why it is more appropriate to attach a rifle to a tank is that 10 shots is not a big number, but it is enough for, for example, hunting.

The rifles could be seen live by the participants of the European championship HFT Choltice 2022 in Czech Republic, where we exhibited our products.

The rifle used for the world record had a different barrel, a heavy solid 25mm full barrel without an airtube, and yes, this rifle requires a tank attachment. This was because the suitable barrel is not made in 12mm to be used in the airtube. otherwise, it was practically the same version of the rifle as in our website. Oost of the other videos (practically all under 1000m) on our youtube channel were shot with a standard stock rifle that is on sale ( some only with a different stock ). For example, a test of our M24 in .25
(power 112J or 84FPE )

I have fired more than 10,000 shots from some of the rifles without any problems, for example with the connecting tube between the regulator and the bolt.
The fact that it is something different does not mean that it is something bad, on the contrary, it is a concept that eventually others will want to copy, because it brings fundamental advantages.

We are currently considering, if there is interest, a offering the version used for the record, i.e. a variant with a full heavy barrel of 25mm diameter (almost one inch) which requires a connection to the tank for firing, or has the option to make one shot after disconnection.
So if anyone is interested in this option (power was around 90 FPE), let them write here. Of course, we would also offer our suitable slugs for this variant, namely the new types 56gr BC G1 about 0.27 (replacement for the old type 61gr) and also our ATP King 40gr BC 0.21 .

My URAGAN Gen 1 also uses that tubing. When i get a new rifle i take the action out of the stock & check all the screws for tightness. Then the barrel comes off for a good cleaning. When i saw that hose on my uragan it did get me wondering? There is a pressure rating on the hose that i forget, but it was well above anything i would put through it. I have never read of any problems with the hose, but i see they have gone to a metal pipe on the second gen uragans?
