Here we go again !!

I just wanted to confirm that Veradium air works with evanix guns and they also do a valve modification for more power. Looking forward to trying one of these ported valves…
How do you think they compare with the AAO super valve, in terms of power output increases, ease installation and if overtly visible. I went to their website, but don't really see what exactly they do or how they do it. May I request to see an image or two of the mod you have them do to see it? Thanks...

I just cannot stop messing around with my band of REX .357s

Only a few weeks back I put together this open sights Mini-Carbine :

And only a shot time later she was successful on her maiden hunt :

Just the other morning I woke up with the intention to convert the fill size rifle into an Open sight gun, I had all the parts in house so it was a pretty quick job ( letting paint dry was the longest part )

So here is the rifle ( 20" barrel vs the 14.5" of the Mini-Carbines )

I already ordered a Pack of AirBolts from Pyramyd to eventually be able to also shoot arrows out of this gun,......she shoots 389gr arrows at 505 fps for 220 FPE and that is at 200 BAR if I fill to 250 BAR it should sling them arrows at light speed :) :)

Weather permitting I will take her hunting tomorrow.

The Mini-Carbine I just set up with a super light 4X scope

My other Mini-Carbine is also sporting the same scope

This one still having a shroud I can still attach the Neil Clauge LDC on, ...also now I can use, if i want the longer shroud from the rifle.

I really like the ARHandle and your pic rail handguards on your Rex, great idea! Looks both functional and aesthetically cool. Which handle is on it? Monstrum Tactical? While not a Rex, here's an off subject, work in progress rig I put a handle on to illustrate its usefulness on whatever you put it on. I'm also going to install a gooseneck pic rail on the handle as well to give it more rail-estate to put more things on it.

As I mentioned before I just cannot leave this guns alone 😄

Today I swapped the handguard with one of my AR9s, the new one is lighter, slimmer and 3.5" longer so I actually have more distance between rear and front sights and that is always a plus.

very happy how the gun feels now

Did I mentioned I cannot leave this bunch of guns alone 😄

So I also turned the Mini-Carbine back into a pistol, and of course I set it up with Open sights,.......I also have a flat rail if I ever whant to get it scoped, with this flat rail the scope sits just about flush with the top of the gun.

OK then here we go ;

First of all looks like the GEN II .357 bolts have a different insert and looks like it will sit deeper into the barrel

DSCF3223.JPG

Then I get the bolt in the barrel all the way almost to the valve to have the minimal ammount of empty space

DSCF3225.JPG

As you can see there's a lot of extra shaft sticking that we need to cut off

DSCF3226.JPG

Ho and also anytime I insert an arrow in the barrel I always, always take the tank off

Next we measure the extra shaft,......2 3/4"

.......Well looks like I lost that shot

@AirArcher66 Is a little space between the nock and the valve necessary or can it rest against the valve? Do you tend to lose the o-rings off of your nocks after shooting?
Suppose you could ......I guess,
it's only about a 1/4" gap so either way I don't think it would make any real difference and I like to give myself a little room so if I make a mistake cutting I have some insurance.

.....don't really lose the O-rings but lose the entire nock when I have a pass through on a pig or target
