Now I know what the Accu-tac hype is all about.

I had a accu-tac (amazon clone) for some years, and I just hated bipods, use tripods instead. But this one was just sitting there in the locker and one day I decided converting it to a over the barrel bipod. Kind a like it this way:

and probably doesn't interfere with folding the L2, like you might if it was mounted below on the stock rail.

That's for bench rest just way to big and heavy. The br4 g2 is the one to get...IMO
The BR4 G2 is what I have, they all work great from the bench. I asked them about plans for making a lightweight unit but never heard anything back about it. I had spoke to the owner about making leg extensions few years ago, months later I received the prototypes that have worked well. I thought of the idea because I saw the need for something that could be packable and allow the user to add leg sections to make the bipod more versatile. The units are extremely durable but as anything have room for improvement.

A level added would be perfect

When you hike up to 12 miles a day in 100+° with a full pack, weight now becomes an important factor. It's simply to heavy, especially with the leg extensions and for the price I'm not sure it's worth the performance under my own circumstances. I can only think of a handful of times I've ever shot prone in a hunting scenario. Really the only reason I use it is for the camera work I do, otherwise it would get left home.
I'll be going on a 12 mile hike in the Sandia Mountains tomorrow with 43lbs of gear.....but not to hunt, just for fun. The only hunting I do with my air rifles outside of pesting on my property, is coyote hunting in the desert or on ranches. I scout area's beforehand so that I am not wondering around aimlessly. I hear the same arguments being raised about firearms too. I've always felt that if one has an issue with weight that they should do some more exercising. Because if the weight of a weapon is too much for them, then said weight is the least of their problems.

MDT CKYE bipod: https://mdttac.com/mdt-ckye-pod/

About the only bipod that offers just about every adjustment that you would ever want. Perfect gamer bipod especially the double leg pull version, definitely like it better than the Atlas and preferred when not breaking out the tripod.
Interesting......I like the feet. I guess what lured me into this Accu-Tac is that wide stance, very stable, especially when shooting off my belly.

I have the knock off, Cost me 35 bucks, Works great, I was going to buy another one and cant remember where I bought the 1st one from..
Mike
Yeah I've heard there are some okay knock offs and ditto with other brands. I get the trade off and realistically most people have to make compromises to get their platforms outfitted. I just have a couple Leapers UTG bipods for shooting with my friends in the backyard and then on every other occasion I don't need fhem because I'm hunting. But I definitely know I need the upgrade in the future. When I do, I'll buy the real deal though. They have some cool designs too.

Just looked at the CKYE bipods. I'm sorry, but no one will EVER convince me that $900 for a bipod is justifiable. But that's just me.
$900? your not to good at price comparison are you?
I never pay full retail for anything, even if it's a fair trade item
No need to be cheap on your equipment and regret it later

I've been enjoying my Ajoite UUQ. For years I shot from a front and back rest but I shoot my bullpups better off a bipod. I bought a couple that were about $20 and then upgraded to the $75 Ajoite. Hard for me to believe the multi hundreds of dollars bipods are really worth the price difference - but I have never used one. The adjustments on the Ajoite are smooth once you learn how to adjust cant (pinch from the bottom stud to the side you want to move to). Nice and solid. Relatively heavy but I only want it for shooting from the bench so being heavier just helps with stability.

Anybody use a Accu-Tac or other high end bipod and also a Ajoite? Why is the Accu-Tac worth the price difference?

In reality I could not find that Accu-tac br4 were like way better than my recon 360 ..meaning that i feel it is at best a $200 bipod .. no a $290 .. why $200.. i have a begadi all aluminum n metal.. and it cost $110 shipped from Germany.. really good machining.. My uragans have ep5 scopes n some other accessories that make the heavy guns...n a few members here had reported a latch failure on the recon 360 ending the guns on the floor..with all kinds of damage..n I could not find something similar to the recon 360 at least in the $150 so I end up buying 4 - br4 I'm really happy with the purchase..

That's what I have and works perfect, when you don't have to think about your equipment you know it's quality

The Ajoite does cant, to get you level but you can't pan right or left,as in target shooting or shooting at a moving target, to some THAT alone is a deal breaker on the Ajoite.
