FX Impact MK2 700mm .22 700cc 75 FPE!!! build done. lol

I was going to have this thing custom cerakoted and whatnot , and maybe in the future I will take it apart and still have that done but for now its going to see field use so I just threw a black top rail on, kl ex trigger guard, 700cc bottle w/ wrap, and my ATN 5-20 on it.

It also has : Huma high flow probe, huma slug power kit (lighter of the two hammer weights installed), huma extra pressure reg, and huma transfer port along with 2 digital gauges, all of which I installed myself, had one small leak through the atmospheric vent hole but sorted that out and its good to go :)

It is running the HEAVY SLUG LINER with CF sleeve w/ the ernest rowe style barrel tensioning rear screw.

Reg is at 180 bar , 2.5 lines on the valve, and 5 on the hammer spring adjuster

Shooting Zan .218 30.5 slugs at 1055 fps. Need to test accuracy next at the range with this setting, for some reason the reg is just at 180, screw bottomed out so I can only bring the reg up from here , maybe thats just the nature of the huma extra pressure reg.

75 (seventy-five)

foot-pounds from a .22cal...?!

WOW!!

I like it!!! 😄

Matthias

Since you have video recording ability with the ATN, it would be interesting to see the effect on game. Just make the videos on YouTube "unlisted" so the everpresent censor police of Karens and Kens stay out of your hair....

What if the Karens are attractive!?

Also I am hoping to use this on Coyote and Chuck

Hey man, what did I do? Lol

Nice set up, and IMPRESSIVE power. I hope that the accuracy at range supports leaving it at that level, it should be devastating on critters.

NO NOT YOU CHUCK IN OHIO!

I plugged everything into the berger calculator. I shot 28 gr zan, 30.5 gr zan, 33 gr zan, the 30.5 shot the most accurate (before I installed all the huma parts and tank) at 1015 fps. Which was odd to me because the 33 gr had a better BC. However the calculators confirmed that the twist rate and speed was optimal for the 30.5 and even more so when I plugged in 1055, I am hoping to get to the range friday and stretch her out to 100 and beyond to see!

Nice build. I got to shoot a friends .22 M3 700mm a couple weekends ago. He’s shooting 31.2 NSA at 1050. Reg at 180 bar with Slug A liner and Tungsten hammer weight. Super accurate (shot to 146 yards) but the most impressive thing is just how smooth it shoots. No motion at all, felt like I was shooting a 20 FPE FT gun. This gun and shooter of course (not me) was good enough to win the National NRL-22 Championship (Airgun division) and place 3rd at this years PRS event at RMAC.

The rifle had some kick with the 480cc bottle and factory trigger guard with the bipod more toward the trigger so I figured the 700cc bottle and the extended trigger guard would relieve some of that, sure as poop it did and the rifle is an absolute dream to shoot just like youre saying.

180 bar, 3 lines on the valve, 3 on power wheel with power wheel screw backed off a bit not all the way tight.

I got a really good group the size of a quarter out of my whole magazine of 29 rounds. I think the new regulator is still settling in. Heading to the range to test out 100 yards and hopefully further if 100 goes well.

Those bottom 2 were during the adjusting of the power wheel so I am going to discount those.

This is through max magnification on an ATN Pro 4k 5-20 which im having a hard time being impressed with

Yeah, that surely supports leaving it set at that power level.

You may tweak and fiddle a bit to tighten it up a fraction, but I would be chuffed as all get out with those results and would leave well enough alone myself.
We all know how that goes though, just be sure that you can return to that setting man, that is MONEY!!

At this rate of speed I do not think the ES is a big deal? I do believe as I shoot more rounds this afternoon it will even out more. I only have 60 shots through this reg. What I am most impressed with is from 250 bar to the 180 bar the reg is set at , I am getting around 45 shots above reg. That to me, is awesome!
