Tuning 60gn ThorPress Slugs. I shot a couple groups today nothing crazy great but I'm just shooting off of a bipod at 100 yards. Groups are about an inch and a half which I am more than happy with because again I'm just shooting with a bipod and not a sled. I'm sure if I had a sled and locked it...

The shape of the ogive is why, more rounded less narrow

Max length I can fit in the Vulcan 3 is 10.6mm but you can buy aftermarket part to lengthen mag a little more. Basically a spacer to give a little more room

Not sure why this video didn't post with my previous post but here is the results of an extremely windy afternoon but the Thor Press Slugs definitely have potential very consistent definitely can get under one moa at 100 yards

Terrible windy day but showed some groups at a hundred yards. Definitely capable of sub moa first group was close to that and I'm just shooting off a bipod not a sled. Groups kept getting worse as the wind picked up it got ridiculous and I'm too impatient to wait for the lull in between gusts...

They have their own slug design, but .3063 isn't a really common size other that used on the AGT Vulcan 3 so they made the die in .3063 for me

It had maybe half inch air gap. That would actually be interesting to see if it made a difference with absolutely no air gap...just the lid sitting directly on the water. I also left the lid loose because I didn't want to much pressure and it splitting the side out.

Totally adjustable, also came with 2 sets of flat base and 2 sets of dish base and 2 pins for hollow point. Made 60 slugs in flat base, gonna see how they shoot, then compare to dish base...then try different weights.

Vulcan 3 .3063 Cal Interesting results shooting into a 5 gallon bucket of water with hollow point slugs made on my new Thor Slug Press. Two shots through the lid and two shots straight into water completely different results 62 grain at 950 ft per second

Took about 5 weeks but took a little longer than normal because I had custom sized die made but they let me know ahead of time it would take a little longer.

Just made about 60 slugs hopefully get out shooting tomorrow... Work is getting in the way of my enjoyment
