    Outshooting the Gun?

If you agree with "The Houston Warehouse" scenario, most good BR guns are capable of shooting 0's . They sort of proved it with 1/4 oz triggers and machining tolerances of one 10,000 and no atmospheric variables. The shooter was usually the limiting factor. Most BR guns will out shoot their...

    Outshooting the Gun?

BR guys would argue with you. Reading the wind is an art. Negating the mirage is an art. Trigger control is an art. Regardless of your shooting equipment and position, all those things enter into your accuracy. IMHO

Other Best .22 PCP for the cost, avoiding buyer's remorse...

Old soldier 118, I have read through this thread and done a lot of cut and paste to get information. You have done a great job of gathering this information and am sure you have it cataloged. Could you put together a list of the recommendations. Cost <$500, $500 - $800, $800 - $1500...

PCP Rifle Looking for a used Crosman Challenger 2021

Would like a Crosman Challenger 2021 and do not need the iron sights, I'll only be using a scope, so 30mm rings would be a plus.

    Seeking super sharp glass

How much does the Valdada's /40mm tubes weigh? It has been my understanding that clarity doesn't increase much after 30mm? Just the adjustment range. AND the weight. Am I dead wrong .... again?

    cheap scope vs expensive

In glass you get what you pay for. German is best, Japanese next, Chinese has improved. Learn how to adjust your ocular lens and how AO works. IMHO 34mm tubes just add weight and bulk, I stay with 30mm unless you need the vertical adjustment. You get the best optics when your reticle is...

    Comfortably Retired vs Working Man

I am 85 and have been a federal retiree for 30 years. Same wife for 64 years, we walked to kindergarten together. Two sons. Always lived beneath our means. Wife was a banker, so we tried to never borrow money. You earn interest, not pay it! All the toys were bought with cash. My dad and...

Benjamin Ever seen a Benjamin Fortitac?

Is that a Gen 3? Doesn't look at all like the Fortitac I searched.

What am I doing Wrong mounting a scope on my M4

I use Burris Signature zee rings with a Picaninny rail on all my guns. They have an excentric insert and you can center the reticle. The insert will not mark the scope barrel. Using this method I can switch scope from rifle to rifle with little re-sighting.

    Best binoculars under $100

Look at Swift Birders, 8x. The best you can buy for under $500.00. Lens coatings are the secret. Search the Bird Watching sites. Those folks spend hours behind their glass. (cheap glass, major headache)

Man" does this bring back memory's"

That's the gun that started this whole hobby. And helped my son become a "songbird" expert.

    Athlon Scopes - your opinion?

I have several and stay with the 30mm tube to keep the weight down. I work PB loads up with an Ares 15-60 and find at 50x it is excellent, way above its price point.

Need advice on a purchase…..sending $ but afraid

Research a USPS MONEY ORDER. My understanding: if the seller accepts a USPS MONEY ORDER and it is a fraudulent sale, the seller is in trouble with the post office and their Inspection Branch is superb. If the buyer screws around with the Money Order, he is in big trouble too. The only...
