Yours being the X version, with regulator and plenum, shouldn't / couldn't differ much power wise. I would think there are very small transfer port and so on, hence the elusing power with both versions. Hammer spring adjustment alone does very little, and may in some cases even bring the power...

I would opt for the .25 especially if the magazine capacity is the same in 22&25. Also they claim having made them super efficient so supposedly air consumption wouldn't be such a bummer in .25 compared to .22 unlike with every single rifle to date.
