Help, Analysis Paralysis, Daystate vs FX

Yep, I know that they are supposed to be very good for the cost and punch well above their weight. I'm just not sure overall for this application. Worst case, my CZ452 in 17hmr 'needs' a better scope and this would be great on it :).

Help, Analysis Paralysis, Daystate vs FX

Yeah, the jury is out on the 4-20 but my line of reasoning seems sound. In smallbore, I shoot with a Leupold FX3-25x fixed power from 40-100 and most of my practice with the air rifle will be from 10-40, so I think that I'll have a proportional view through the Meopta at some point between 4x...

Help, Analysis Paralysis, Daystate vs FX

Lol, I have a RAM :). I agree though, some of it is brand preference, on the other hand though, there are some functional and philosophical differences as well. As I alluded to earlier, I'm pretty particular with my 'toys', so I wanted to get one that was new that I know the full history of...

Help, Analysis Paralysis, Daystate vs FX

Thanks Emu!! That almost derailed me again! :) I agonized over this choice for a long time (this has been a couple of months in the making). I'm sure that I'll miss the beauty of the Huntsman but I did decide to go FX for this one. A lot of decisions went into the choice and for now, I think...

Help, Analysis Paralysis, Daystate vs FX

:) thanks for that. I wasn't serious about a coin flip, I'm thinking very hard on which to go with. I don't think that I'd go wrong with either (or if I did, some QC issue, it is likely just bad luck that can happen on either). I agree that it would be nice to handle each but I don't think...

While typing my previous, then I get some more input that keeps me thinking. Maybe I'll flip a coin, lol. Thank you all for your valuable experience and input!!

Help, Analysis Paralysis, Daystate vs FX

The consensus thus far in this thread just screams at me to get the Daystate and just have fun shooting not tinkering. Emu, I appreciate the advice on .177, although I am going to go .22 (even already bought some JSB 18.13s) as I will also play with this gun on the smallbore Silhouette range...

Help, Analysis Paralysis, Daystate vs FX

Hello All, After a successful topic about buying a PCP to practice Silhouette during the offseason, I come back to you for a little more advice. I've narrowed down my choices and right now it is really between the Daystate Huntsman Revere and the FX Dreamline Classic (the Air Arms S510 is...

Need Suggestions - PCP for Silhouette Practice

Thanks Kelly, I'll take a harder look at the Redwolf. I'm broadening my searches a bit as I kinda want a one gun that does it all but I really do need some focus on off-hand shooting as that is the 'real' purpose behind the purchase.

    Benjamin Akela - Pyramyd Air

WM, I had that same reaction!! It isn't just that it is resting there but seems precarious like it might slide down that rusty equipment before hitting the ground even... lol.

Congratulations to EDgun on being issued a US Patent !!

Congratulations to them on that. That is a nice gun and maybe one for down the road!!

Need Suggestions - PCP for Silhouette Practice

Right. I have the FX3 25x on mine and one big consideration was weight (14oz scope). I'm not going to go too crazy overthinking weight on the Air Rifle, it will be for practice so as long as I'm close on weight (within a pound), I think that I'll be happy. I've only just started thinking...
