You ain't stuck with nothing but a great air rifle. The bolt will loosen up some but after you've gotten settled in some you can smooth the hammer with some 600 grit to remove any tool marks,helps cocking. My .25 gauntlet out shoots my .25 mrod. The gauntlet has way more thump right out of the can
