Bowhunter...I will probably end up casting if I can find a mold...they have gotten ridiculous. Are you using pure lead or an alloy?

I got a box of 250 grains and 2 boxes of 400 grains. I haven't sat down and put anything to paper but I have found with the lighter slugs I can dial the power back and shoot reactive targets (block of self healing plastic) at 35 to 45 yards and have fun and get 8 to 10 shots on a fill

Just bought a Texan 457 with hawke scope setup. It's my first pcp airgun and I'm learning a lot already and have to say I'm hooked. Now that I have it and have shot it, it wouldn't have been my first choice but I still like it. I probably will never hunt with it and know I won't be taking it...
