My HW-97 long, this is a HW-97 0.177 but with a longer barrel 10cm longer. tuned and with a nice walnut stock, my favourite springer.

Its not affecting my air gun enjoyment, off to the range in 30 mins for a day with my 3 daystate rifles. covid 19 isn't spoiling my fun.

I really like my Volverine R HL in 1.77 its tack accurate and with my hawke scope low as can be its perfect to shoulder. I use the rowan engineering single shot tray in mine. not a fan of the Mag's as the single shot seems more accurate.

I would go with the Hydraulic 46 recommended oil, its anti foam and remains very stable at high temp, car oil is ok but with its range of 10w 30 it will thin out. these little compressors rely on splash feed for the pistons so an antifoaming oil like 46 is perfect. no doubt you can use any oil...

Unless its a red wolf or electronic daystate rifle, no springs at all, so leave it cocked for a year if you want. not advisable on safety grounds though. I always thought leaving a spring compressed for long periods would certainly weaken the spring. if it were mine I wouldn't leave a spring gun...

This would apply to the magazine also if you cocked the gun and didn't close the bolt before firing, this is not a rowan engineering issue with the single shot loader. Its a end user issue forgetting to close the bolt. But a warning to all to not forget the bolt or side lever.
