My New Yong Heng Compressor Setup

I did have the top tubing fitting leak early last year. All I did was loosen and retighten it.

Watch & Discuss the Brocock Bantam Sniper HP .22!!

Excellent showcasing of a brand I am unfamiliar with. It looks like a fantastic rifle.

    Gauntlet Leaking Breech Seal Fix

Fixed a cracked nylon seal I noticed on my Gauntlet 25. It’s in the port that transfers the air for a shot into the chamber. I was noticing some air leaking when fired and took the rifle apart to find the leak. The fixed seal fits more air tight now as well. An 8 shot standard deviation...

Watch & Discuss the Umarex Gauntlet .25!

I own one and for the money, it’s a great accurate rifle. JSB Kings and King Heavys shoot beautifully. The trigger adjusted right where I like it. The only annoyance is the very stiff bolt cycling, but that improved acceptably with use.

Watch & Discuss the Umarex Gauntlet .25!

The Gauntlet 25 is a great rifle. I’ve done research on it and nothing I know of can touch it for the price. Instead of settling for a low end PCP rifle, you can have something much better, with plenty of power and good accuracy for longer ranges. It’s definitely a PCP rifle that will change the...

Use of Heavy Pellets in Springers

The heaviest I’ve shot in my Octane Elite 22 is the JSB Monster 25.39. It’s slow at 640 FPS and the FPE is a tad low at 23. The H&N Sniper Magnum 17.9 has a much more respectable velocity of 791 FPS and gives me a higher FPE at 25. I don’t think real heavy pellets hurt it, but if the velocity is...

Great Performer - Yong Heng Compressor

I don’t line the filter with anything for the aluminosilcate beads. I’ve read things by a couple people about that being a problem, but I can’t find even one scientific or chemistry article alluding to these beads being a problem in contact with aluminum. After several uses I see no evidence at...

    Why 2 O’Clock High?

Harmonics? Sounds plausible. My Octane Elite 22 loves FTTs, but it did a similar thing with another pellet, but at a different position. I’m physics minded, but I can’t visualize how it veers off in one particular spot. Mostly if a gun doesn’t like a pellet it just doesn’t group well randomly. ...

    Gauntlet Drifting POI Fixed

The POI has drifted a couple times. Not cool! I recalled hitting the barrel end on a cabinet last time. So I had a look at things. Barrel tight to receiver, shroud tightness, barrel band and shim snug. Lastly I looked at the ferrule on the barrel that the shroud screws onto. The set screw was...

    Why 2 O’Clock High?

I usually love H&N FTTs. In my other guns they are one of my preferred ammo, but in my Gauntlet 25 they hit at around 2 o’clock off target center and not so tight. The JSB Kings and Heavies hit dead center in the same hole every time. The thing I’ve never figured out is why a pellet would do...

What Are These Water Separator Fittings?

I never said nor am I foolish enough to thread different fittings together. An NPT tapered thread and M10 parallel thread would be stupid to thread together. The pitch and thread cut angle are not the same and it wouldn’t seal. This is why it’s taken me a long time searching fittings to get the...

What Are These Water Separator Fittings?

The filter I have has 2 distinctly different incompatible connectors. The M10 and the other end I think is BSPP. I prefer everything in M10 as most of it already is. Stick to a good standard and not make it complicated. lol

What Are These Water Separator Fittings?

Adapting the 1/8 NPT M to F check valve I got to fit in my compressor line took a lot of searching, but I came up with a not costly way to do it. M10 F on one end and 8mm QC M on the other.
