    $100 or less magnum.springer scope?

I put a cheap Pinty 4-16x40AO on my Parrus, which it messed up in short order. Current experiment on it is the same scope, but with a Diana Bullseye ZR mount, which has been holding up so far. https://www.airgundepot.com/bullseye-zr-1-pc-mount-1-rings-11mm-dovetail-004.html

Pyramyd Air didn't send a complete order

For those who read the original post I had, after taking some time to cool off, I had to edit this. Made an order through Pyramyd Air and only got a part of it today. In the interest of being fair, I need to figure out what happened here.

    Old family Hurricane

Found one more piece of paper hidden under the targets. Kind of makes me wonder who RB is (or possibly was) and the stories he would have working for Beeman back then.

Beeman Technical Bulletin 8215 and 8217

Was looking around the Internet at pictures of Webley Hurrican's and found a few pictures of what appear to be later ones with these two bulletins as a part of the paper work they shipped with. Does anyone know what they were for? {Edit] Never mind, I found that the one I have has the same...

    Old family Hurricane

I went to my parents place today to pickup some firearm reloading stuff since I'm paying more attention to the details of shooting because of Covid, and I have not seen them since this started. Among the things, the old Hurricane from when Jimmy Carter was President :) My Dad being who he is, I...

First impression on the Crosman 2240

Well, here's the solution so far. Probably not the permanent one, but, I could throw it together with what I had sitting around, except for the Crosman mounts that I got off of Amazon for next to nothing and delivered overnight :) Was tempted to throw a red dot on it, but the only spare I have...

First impression on the Crosman 2240

Bought a 2240 as an impulse buy and it arrived today. I have to say, it is accurate and I'm sure it can do better than what I've done so far. Big thing about this, the stock sights and how you adjust them is terrible. I have a much better appreciation of the builds that I've seen on this and...

    Oiling pellets. Need opinions.

On the topic of oiling pellets, I don't do anything except just pull them out of the tin and fire them, but with the RWS ones I have it seems like they are dieseling. I've only recently started shooting a modern springer so I have to ask, is this common for certain brands of pellets? As a side...

Pellets seem hard to come by. Is it the 'rona or something else?

I have noticed that the Crosman Competition and Gamo Match .177 that I like to use seem to have been unavailable for a month or two now. I have an order for the Gamo's through AGD that was placed on 6/19 that is still on back order. PA did have the 1250 count Crosman in stock for a few days but...

Highwild Bullet trap from amazon for under $50

This is my final solution to the problem. 3d printed 2 pieces for the top that have slots for the cardboard and the stopping plate, a pair blockers to stick on the sides to keep stuff from getting past the cardboard there, and another piece to hold the bottom of the cardboard. I have...

How do we feel about the Crosman DPMS automatic capable rifles?

The only problem I've had with my DPMS is with over tightening the CO2 cartridges. When loading them I slowly tighten the wrench with the thing by my ear so I can hear the thing getting punctured and then stop. I have considered getting into the PCP side of things but for me there are two...

How do we feel about the Crosman DPMS automatic capable rifles?

I have not had any problems with my DPMS shooting Daisy Zinc BB's. Have not heard of any issues with the DPMS, but have heard the Umarex MP40 and Thompson can have problems with certain BB's and you should stick to the Umarex ones. As far as the replicas, I stay away from the blow back models...

Highwild Bullet trap from amazon for under $50

The stopping and back pieces are a little over 90 degrees. I'm guessing that since it's the second surface and the angle, there's still enough energy to have the pellet deflect in a predictable way and go forward under the ledge. You're always going to have something coming out of the things if...

Highwild Bullet trap from amazon for under $50

That is a big part of it. Here's a picture of mine which has been in use for a few months now. If you look at the sides along the back plate you can see the fine white lead powder from the splatter as the pellet breaks up when hitting it. I think the bigger problem is a shot goes off the back...

Highwild Bullet trap from amazon for under $50

Take a look at the customer pictures and review I have for the Amazon listing. The thing does work, but it throws out a lot more lead than the more expensive pre-assembled version, which I also have. With the FPE that you're putting into it there will always be some dust coming out of something...
