If the fit is really that close in your case, it would also be worth noting that it is a translating turret, so it may be taller or shorter depending on your elevation zero.

Right about 1-1/16” from the top of the turret to top dead center of the tube. NX8 4-32. Not exactly sure if that’s what you wanted, but should be able to calculate most other measurements from that.

I may be able to offer some of my observations. However, the NX8 and ATACR lines are different enough from each other, and cover such a broad range of prices and magnifications that I’m having trouble distilling down what exactly you want to compare?

I appreciate the info. I have not had the opportunity yet to try myself, but knowing that others have had success gives me hope/confidence that rain won’t necessarily ruin my chances for logging velocity data.
