Most modern airguns will shoot decent groups, (with a compatible pellet) out to 25 yards. Once you get much beyond 30-35 yards pellet...

Generally, if you are getting 1" at 25, then you would be doing well to get 2" at 50. That extra 25 yards can add some variables.
