I checked it and it does say "2900" PSI on the tank. So I guess maybe the gauge on the gun and pump are just off by that much?

I guess the question is.... how far off can the actual pressure be between 2 different gauges? The rifle gauge I expect to not be that accurate, but the pump gauge and the rifle gauge seem to line up in the end. Would the rifle lock up at 3500PSI if they were both off and I was over filling...
