This problem is not difficult to solve with a PCP. Your situation is pretty much the same as mine. I am shooting squirrels from 7 or 8 yards out to thirty or more. I have zeroed my Stormrider using 729 FPS and JSB Jumbo Express (14.35 gr) at 12 yards. Using a 1 inch diameter kill zone this gives...
Less than three weeks ago I ordered an Altaros regulator from the Czech Republic. It arrived today! From the silent Youtube video it appears to be pretty easy to install. Does anyone have any hints or suggestions?
Thanks for the suggestion. Your are right about it being light and easy to shoulder. That is an important feature when I want to grab it for a squirrel on the deck. A Marauder it is not! I am still thinking the bipod.
Everyone is entertained in their own way. Personally I enjoy collecting and playing with the numbers. On a winter day I quite enjoy fooling with the numbers with excel on my iPad in front of the fire place with a glass of scotch at hand.
No, the Marauder magazine does not fit. It is completely different. I have both a Marauder and a Stormrider. I think you (we) are stuck with buying $20 magazines for the time being. I also have an Avenger. Avenger and Marauder magazines are completely interchangeable.
I will try 1400 psi when the weather is better. 300 bar is the factory specified fill pressure. I having seen a number of tunes which start with that pressure.
I can’t find “official” documentation that says that low end of the regulator is 1100 psi. But it is in the green zone on the dial and Hardair magazine did two of their tunes at 1100 psi.
I am tuning my new 22 Avenger. I am trying to tune for shot count. I am pressurizing the gun to 300 bar. I have the regulator set at 1100/1200. I have had the hammer tension set from zero turns to two turns. I am shooting Crosman CPHP, 14.3 pellets. I have seen an ES of 20 or so for these...
