I was thinking adapting a tracer unit for air-soft to the end of a pellet gun. Then loading pellets with glow in the dark nail polish inside the skirt. Not sure if it would work pcp projectiles are traveling a bit faster than airsoft balls. May not be enough exposure time inside the unit. ...

My guess is the black light muzzle attachments for air-soft would not work with the muzzle velocities of pcp air rifles. Any one tried it?

Any one try painting a pellet inside the skirt with glow in the dark nail polish. Then hit it with a black light. Before taking a shot night hunting. Could make for a cool night hunting video. You may be able to see the pellets flight path to the critter. 

Little green plastic army men. Get some agar at a grocery store and make ballistics gel. If you have some meat that has gone south but not too bad you could shoot that as a ballistic medium. Cool to see how pellets expand. Make sure to have a sufficient back stop to catch pellets that go through.

I would do that too. But the wife would get mad. Also this pump is not kid safe and the kids would hear it and come running.

Thanks for the responses. Good to know part of the duty cycle is the engine getting too hot. I just figured it was based on the piston head temps. If i do these mods i will post pics.

Tim123 It looks like you are feeding that cooler from the top. Coolers like that should have the coolant flow from the bottom to the top. If you feed it from the top you get air pockets in the cooler. Air pockets equal less surface area for cooling, decreasing the efficiency of your cooling...

It seems like i am going to need a slug style projectile from what everyone is recommending for longer range. I have read that choked barrels do not do as well as unchoked with slugs. Marauders have choked barrels from what I have read. Any one have results with slugs out of a marauder 25...
